Hi!

I'm having problems with the installation of B4-II. I've found a nice tutorial on youtube about creating wizard files, so i've created my own. At first sight B4-II seem to run perfectly, but in every 5 or 10 minutes i have a random crash, and V-machine restarts. I've read here, that some of you managed to run B4-II on VM perfectly.

Can anybody email or pm me a working vfxinfo file?

hetyus

I'd suggest using GSi VB3 instead B4-II. It works without a single problem. And it sounds better. :)

has anyone used Unknown64 or any other free SID or 8-bit plugin with V Machine? If so please let me know of any issues, especially ones relevant to using live. thanks

Hi guys,
I have been trying to get SFZ running for a few days now and with support but I'm not making any progress.
The built-in modules work perfectly. When I installed Truepianos Amber Lite off a USB it worked perfectly.
Now I can get SFZ dll to work and play inside VFX but no matter what I do I cannot get SFZ to work on the module.
It loads the SFZ plugin into the V machine but never loads or plays the samples.

I've figured the only way I can get it to work is if someone can set me up a ZIP file with a working BANKS and PLUGS folder structure which I can then use to make multiple folders with my different soundfonts.
Would anyone be able to do this for me? Would I Paypal donation sweeten the deal?

I really love the V machine (going by the effectiveness of the other plugs) but the last step is to get my own samples going.
Thanks for any, any help...
Cheers, Dave

I have to say I would not recommend anyone buy a V-Machine at all....EVER!

I grabbed one from Thomann about 6 months ago.Damn thing felt like it had a static charge running through the metal work so I contacted SMPro,no answer at all.3 days later it fizzed out.stopped working.

So I sent it back to Thomman, told them the problem they sent me another.SAME THING. Static charge running through the metal work so again I emailed SMPro and again.........no answer and yes, this unit also fizzed out.

Once is unlucky but twice uh uh.

The lack of support from SMPro'stitutes' has put me off buying anything from Australians ever again.

Between these clowns and Crysonic Australia is now off the map for ever and good ridence to em.

Hi,
thanks for the tip but the information there is extremely vague and hasn't worked.
I have tried importing the VST from the USB in the "plugs" folder and even tried placing the samples there and still no luck.

Has anyone in this forum been able to get Cakewalk SFZ player to work on V Machine, and HOW? :?

Thanks! Dave

quadraSID works.
thanks for info, however Quadrasid's not free is it? Have you also tried any free SID software? i'm looking to cut costs as much as possible. i'd prefer a sammichSID but still looking into option of V-Machine and SID emulator VSTi's

Post

I didn't try any free SID emulators. sorry.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried the demo of VB3, it's really cool, but i like B4II more. VB3 is bit too "gritty" and dark to me, i think VB3 is closer to the original, but i still like the brighter tone of B4II. /Shame on me ;-)/

So if anybody knows how to make a wizard file for B4II, please let me know!

Yes, shame on you! :D

Does V-Machine send feedback for rotary encoders? On Windows VFX doesn't...

Thanks, but tbh I don't quite get it - apparently V-Machine does indeed send the feedback, but what does then Cubase (and the BCR toolkit) do?

Just to make sure: my question was regarding V-Machine as a standalone device i.e. completely onm its own (MIDI-controller aside)
