Welcome sorry its taking so long for the update having one hell of a time keeping the range as large as the first release, but I will get there. Shelved it for a bit because of the small amount of interest in the plugin. Working back on the audio triggered synths just about have a soundfont audio triggered synth done and also the update for both of my old VA audio triggered synths built into one once I get these finished and released I will finish the Junction update.thoshu wrote:Very nice - thanks a lot for that great tool!FrettedSynth wrote: Got the latency about cut in half,

I love audio to midi, I was just playing with Usine. Usine recently made the audio to midi patch's latency at 11ms, and now you can't change it, I can't find out how.
Luckily I have other versions of Usine free vst on disc, pulled one out, and man is 5ms sweet.
Now that you can't get a decent free version of Usine, you might be most guitarist's only hope! Even Widi doesn't go real low on latency.
Looking forward to your new audio triggered synths, I'm more into crazy sounds but a little meat and potatoes never hurt.

Tried to DL Usine to see what you are talking about but can not reach the site for some reason?RunBeerRun wrote:I

Unless Usine can read your mind of what you are going to play I can't see 5ms ever happening in audio to MIDI in real time? takes way more time then that for a guitar to reach full waveform to be tracked? PDC on a recorded track maybe but real time NO WAY.
I'll have to keep trying to reach there site to see for myself.
Synths should not be too long before release

The Sensomusic site should work, I visit there regularly.
Within that audio to midi patch is a bunch of boxes doing various things, and one box has a latency pin, click the box and it'll pop up on the right hand side, and you see latency is at 11, and the old versions you could turn that down or up as you pleased.
What the ACTUAL detection to midi transformation rate is in ms, I don't know. I like how it responds when I have it set to 5 though.

I've started a thread in the patches forum about setting the latency, they say you can change it, but you can't drag your mouse anymore.
I found a workaround, press open script, and change min and max to the same variable, I set them to 5ms. Otherwise it's stuck at 11ms.

I think there's an easy way to make a polyphonic, using Fanoutbox (http://www.rmcpickup.com/fanoutbox.html) which separates the poly guitar signal from the hex pickup into six mono. Anyway, great job, the only thing i was missing is pitchbend support, is there already a version with it ? It's quite simple, pitchbend value is actually a remainder from the note number value so it shouldn't be any problem to implement it. And i'm really interested in the gate section, it's using some kind of 'peak recognition' right ?FrettedSynth wrote:cool glad to hear it is tracking well thereOptomadic wrote:It works flawlessly! Great job !
Any chance we can get a polyphonic version or is there something I'm missing?
For a poly version there needs to be a hex pickup involved to track eack string seperate. But yeh its not impossable and would reduce latency and also fix the tracking of low notes. Have to get a (what is it called) GK-2 (I think) pickup to find out what it outputs? Still not that far YET
Peace

Thanks for sharing such a great plugin.

This is a great app and fits in where Sonuus and Widi vst cost bucks. You must play with the settings under any DAW, and especially with the one on Junction called 'thresh.' Set it most sensitively and then adjust the guitar or other audio stream down as low as you can to get a pure synth sound. I don't use Sonar so can't help you but generally you input line in, then Junction, thresh low or 0, then path to synth, map the synth keyboard to many octaves and then you can play entire neck of guitar. Great and free!

Wow kind of a "blast from the past" seeing this thread come up after four years.
Still never worked out a good way to add pitch bend without adding the glitches that people mention with audio to MIDI devices.
Still working on this stuff just not as much time as I had before Kids, Life, Work, Kids, did I mention Kids
Have a new version of FA3 with oversampling should finish someday?
Joe

Wow, good to see you, Fretted Synth. We all have real lives to live, I guess.
Any audio to midi is a real rough experience, I haven't seen any software that's as good as hardware(Sonuus).
