It could also be because i made a FFT/iFFT on the waveforms. I thought that was a good idea at first but it wasn't. It was a good learning experience though. Later versions had a RAW option which was much closer to the original. There was also a bug with really small values which Zebra2 parsed as 1.0 instead of 0.0 (my mistake not Urs's.). I have fixed that now but i'm not complete if it's been uploaded somewhere or not. If all else fails, a quick "search and replace" (Notepad++ for example) will fix that.trance_lucent wrote:I think that is because Zebra has relatively low resolution wavetables (128 samples per waveform).bmrzycki wrote:I've found the converted Zebra wavetable sounds appreciably different than the original .wav
what are the differences in the wavetables in massive and the wavetable capabilities in zebra?

Thank you for your program and your help, I will try it this evening.
Did you try to contact Urs on implementing it directly into Zebra?
Thank you again!
best regards
Hehehe, we totally don't encourage people to buy or software based on our loose plans... things change all the time, we wouldn't be here anymore if we followed our plans slavishly

I'll have a look at it and do an overhaul of it. We have kind of our 4th of July here in Sweden today so i'll probably go out and have a barbecue. If i haven't done anything before Sunday pleas remind me,my mind isn't what it used to.Howard wrote:Please upload somewhere!jupiter8 wrote:...There was also a bug with really small values which Zebra2 parsed as 1.0 instead of 0.0 (my mistake not Urs's.). Urs has said now and again around these parts that Zebra 3.x *might* have a reasonable upgrade fee. Considering that Zebra 2.0 came out in Oct 2006 and there's no firm date on Zebra 3.0 I think that's more than fair.filtide wrote:You forgot to mention that you don't have update fee afaik.Urs wrote:No estimate yet...ddeez wrote:Urs what's the timeline on this? Urs has also said that 2.6 can come out in somewhere Juni. ???
I'm sitting on needles, waiting for that every day now.
Any news about this?
Hope soon it will come!

Damn that was painful! An excellent lesson in how not program a program if nothing else. And how not to handle version control. What idiot did that program ?Howard wrote:Please upload somewhere!jupiter8 wrote:...There was also a bug with really small values which Zebra2 parsed as 1.0 instead of 0.0 (my mistake not Urs's.). And by the looks of it he has lost the user name and password to the site so it seems it will forever be not up to date.

I didn't actually do anything, just checked so the "Cast small numbers to zero" function was in there and compiled it. Could be the exact same version as is already up, i don't know.
I noticed several things i wasn't very pleased with and i think it needs a radical overhaul. Have some ideas for it,if i ever do them is another matter.
