Cyclops 'Restart' Option - Help

Greetings; I'm having a blast with Cyclop, but there's one setting i can't figure out for the life of me, the 'Restart' option on the Wobble Settings page.
I can't hear any difference in sound when i change this setting, and neither can i see any difference in the Wobble Waveform display.
Can someone help explain what this setting does?
Regards
Glenn

Ok, starting to get a handle on this option.
There are a number of presets where you can hear the diff clearly if you change the wobble settings Restart from, say, Note+Loop to Note+1/4 or Note+1/3 (eg to name a few such presets, Monky Soundset - yeah boy, funest chord, Mads Lingren - bass bloodboil, especially if wobble knob Read Envelope is turned off).
Interestingly, there are some presets where you can't necessarily hear a change in the sound, but you can see a definite change in the wobble rate disply (eg drum and bassline synth - bass growler, bass earbleeder).
So i think i'm starting to figure this out, but i would love to hear from someone who understands this option cold, and can explain it in clear words. FWIW most of the presets appear to use Note or Note+Loop.

I found this confusing, too. Here's the thing - these settings only work when your DAW is playing. EDIT: Deleting a theory I had about this that isn't true. This feature is to keep the LFO in phase with your tempo.
I've noticed something weird, though. With "Interpolate LFO rate" on, transitions between different waveforms on the wobble knob are very jumpy and discontinuous, not like a smooth crossfade at all.

I understood 'Interpolate LFO Rate' to mean that the Wobble Envelope Recording Screen would snap the wobble rate from one value to another, rather than fade them...i'm kind of overloaded with Cyclop features at this point, and i can't remember exactly how it works in practise.
I get it that Dubstep relies heavily on loose, 'off the grid' timings and such, but i wish that the recording envelope screen was calibrated, at least for the wobble knob.
If i want to, say, have a wobble rate going along exactly at 4X for a bit, then switch to 16X, these rates don't line up exactly with the horizontal lines of the wobble envelope screen...i hope SB would consider rejigging the graph lines to make such precision possible ('snap' buttons are on of my favourite things).

Turning interpolation on allows gradual changes in the LFO rate, as opposed to the default snapping to BPM multiples... That's about all I know on the subject, lol... I agree, there are a few nuances to this synth that are unclear, but I guess that's to be expected with such an original take on the GUI.
If you're wanting the LFO to always stay phase locked with the tempo (which I have also been wanting), an option that forces speed changes to only happen at the beginning of the LFO cycle should do that (as long as you stay out of Interpolated mode). I don't think there's a way to do that yet, apart from doing some very exact sequencing in your DAW. You can also use the Restart option to constantly reset the LFO phase regularly, which straightens things out a bit, but has it's own sound.
TLDR: An option to force LFO rates to change only at the beginning of the LFO cycle would be awesome

Hmmm, just looked at the manual again, which has two sections that explain the 'interpolate lfo rate' switch.
The second section says: '...the Wobble Knob switches or fades between beat matched LFO rates.'
If i read this right, with the switch activated, the wobble knob will only hit rates like 1/2X, 1X, 2X, 3X...up to 48X...um, 48X time what? Tempo? That's what it sounds like.
If so, then then the wobble envelope screen horizontal lines don't need to be calibrated exactly to these values. But doing so would still be a good visual cue.

Ok I hope I can clear this up a little bit
1) the wobble envelope has a vertical grid for the 12 wobble knob positions
2) if "interpolate" is on, the wobble knob will fade between the 12 available beat divisions and so you can bring the lfo out of sync with your beat
(I was sure people want that). "interpolate" only affects the wobble lfo rate, nothing else.
If stumbling modulations are a side effect of that, I will look into it and
see if I can optimize that. Sendy, there are some good ideas coming...
which brings me to the Wobble(now I will call it just lfo) Restart options.
3) Restarting the LFO with each midi note is standard and part of all the available options.
note+loop means that the lfo will restart with the note, but also when the
wobble envelope wraps around. That will keep your wobble/envelope performance in sync with each other.
note + 1/4 will restart the lfo when you hit a midi note, but also
keeps on restarting the lfo at certain beat divisions.
In example, you can let the lfo restart at each 1/4 note while it is running at 1/3 speed which brings awesome rhythmical structures.
I hope that helps!

Greetings; Yes, this post helps alot.
Looks like i was bass-ackwards with the 'interpolate' setting -- with 'interpolate' on, you can set the wobble knob between the beat divisions (eg. 1/2x, 1x, 2x,...48x).
So it's with 'interpolate' off that the wobble knob will always align directly with one of these 12 beat divisions?
In terms of the wobble envelope, are the horizontal grid lines suppose to line up exactly with the 12 wobble knob positions? I think it would help if they did.
