The only difference between Studio en Producer is ProChannel. Am I right? The other differences are in instruments en plugins (I don't need more of that).

What is great about ProChannel? Is it worth the extra $70?
I like ProChannel. It's pretty light on CPU considering it's there by default on every track and it does the job. When I bought producer I did not have any similar FX (Percussion Strip, Vocal strip, etc.) so it was good for me. If you have some good effects plugins then you may not need. Secondly, some people complained about the size of the prochannel. It's difficult at times to do some surgical EQing with such a small size. They should make it detachable and re-sizable. The suite has two extra modules which I don't have also. Please try the demo. Do not just go by the reviews and suggestions. Everyone has different tastes. Overall producer package is good, some nice instruments and effects and keeps my hobby alive :hihi:

yes, no doubt.

(but i have abandoned X1 because of all the bugs and happily moved on to studio one)
Finally!

Lucky day for me.
I was looking for an upgrade to "live 8 download" from a free M-audio live6 verison i got years ago.
I realized i could upgrade to "Suite 8 BOX" for cheaper : 255 Euros !
Just bought it !
Do they ever go more than 33%? I seem to remember 25% a few times, but how about 50%? I've had a $50 off coupon code sitting in my cart for quite some time and I only have an old Lite registration. With the discount and the code, I can upgrade to Live 8 for $170. I guess that's a good deal, but if they ever go to 50% off or more, that would of course be better, assuming that my code doesn't expire.

Think they did. I mean I bought the Suite upgrade (download version) from Live 8. Yesterday it was 239€ and today 107€. That's 55% off isn't it?

No doubt version 9 is on its way...

We are doing Sonik Synth 2 for $29.99/€24.99 - full thread coming soon but thought I'd tip you off in the Bargain Center thread. Link to coupon code: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?item_id=121

Still only 32bit, isn't it? That's why I will probably even stop to use Sample tank in my new 64 bit environment.
Yeah, SampleTank is only 32-bit. I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed by IK that there's a 64-bit SampleTank 3 in the future (Peter?), but no indication of a timeframe that I'm aware of.

That said, SampleTank 2.5 hasn't given me any problems under BitBridge in Sonar 64-bit.

Is Sonar X1 that unstable? So I'd better not use it for educational purposes? The stepsequencer in Sonar is great... and also the matrix.

Post

Sonar is no more or less stable than any other host. Every host has some people for whom it just will not work, and every host has some legit bugs too. Go on any forum and you'll find people saying they're dropping host X because it always crashes, and just as many people replying to say it works fine for them. Don't judge based on that. Download the demo, try it out - at least with Sonar you have that option!

That was a good deal. Mine is still at $170 in the cart, so I guess it's what it's supposed to be. I kind of wish I could swing it, but I just bought some hardware and that blows me out on any more purchases for awhile. At least it should if I can exercise some control.

What I meant was if anyone remembers sales at over this current 33% discount.

Sure, but no word from Ableton about when it's supposed to be out. People on the Ableton forum have been waiting for it for 2 years now and still no sign of Live 9.

Oh and there was an error on the discounts. Lucky I was fast.

+1

It works for me without any problem but I have heard horrible stories on this and other forums. Best bet is to try the demo.

This thread is updated daily, often more than once, so checking it out just one time every day will be enough.

It has been discussed again, I think the old system with one thread was better.
Damned rule breakers!

It sure would be nice if any replies to posts on the other thread would automatically come over here. I'm pretty sure everyone here and there gets how to post your reply with quote to a different thread, but just in case: write your reply as usual but instead of submitting it, just copy it and then past it into the reply on the destination thread. In this case, the latter would be here and the former would be the main bargain thread. Of course you can also just copy the quote part there and write your reply here like I'm doing now.
