Still, my original point stands. They've popularized enough ideas - even somewhat long in the tooth paradigms like Rewire, Refills and REX files still have strong industry support - that my money is firmly on this concept taking root and getting imitated. Of course there are now other Rewire slaves, but it's remarkable how quickly every new host needs to be Rewire capable - it's almost like there's *demand* for it . My hunch is that they're especially strong in pro circles (LA, Nashville, NYC), where a strong user community will essentially guarantee a thriving business.New copies means "new" as in not upgrades. Reason has more global users than some want to acknowledge. Theo there are some limitation toward User Interface which prevent today developers from porting their stuff to Reason. Richard said it, U-he said it and Alchemy developers said it so i assume it's true. Dune is more challenging to port, mostly in terms of UI complexity. At this point it doesn't seem to be possible/realistic to port it- but that may change, we'll have to see how the standard evolves. Right now would be too early anyway as we're working very hard on Dune 2
