I checked out EXT VST and it's the same sub-windowing system as MUX VST. So i assume it's ok as it is now.gpunk wrote:Energy XT uses sub windows finemutools wrote:I'm researching this windowing issue.
Can you please point me to another vst plugin that also uses sub-windows and that handles them all right?
MUX Vst : What do you need?

Awesome power for a plugin! Multiple instances are w/o problem (as yet). Also hardly any CPU usage in FL Studio. The color is also a good match for FL Studio where I conducted some tests.
Request: Support drop and drag from the FL Studio browser. It so easy to use the FL Studio browser to preview samples and audio files. But when I try to drag a sample into the MUX, it will drag but won't drop.

As a Maschine user i found this plugin marvelous! You can't change plugin parameters in maschine (yetTM) so just for that this is great.
I have a plugin from SK Note called Roundtone. To cut the story short, there's several models of tape compression in it. Going from the first to the last one you tweak a parameter in the range of 0 to 16.5% (i think). There's 17 models but im only interested in four of them in the middle and the last three ones.
Is there a way to make a knob in MUX sweep through 3-6 and then continue at 13 going to 16?
Right now i have two knobs controlling each range so the one i tweaked last will dominate the other so to speak.

When saving all the names of the knobs are sent to host (the knobs in Maschine gets updated so you can see what they do). But when loading a plugin i only see the standard Gain, para2, para3 etc. Can you make it so that the parameter names are sent when loading as well?

Is it possible to send program change? In maschine you can't send simple standard old school program change messages so if i could tweak a knob with mux to send 1-128/0-127 it would be very helpful!

It was not intended that the latest version of MUX Vst, the one with the public key, already expired. Sorry bout that! New pre-release version coming asap later today!

Unfortunately several unforeseen issues popped up during the day, and so the new MUX Vst test packages won't make it today anymore, sorry! To be continued tomorrow morning! (CET)

New MUX Vst packages are available in http://www.mutools.com/mux/cedar
What's changed:
Insert this user key to avoid the demo noise. (make sure there are no spaces in the key, the forum software seems to insert a space sometimes)
About the MUX Vst's session MUX:
First of all: This is about a more advanced feature so if you just want to plug-and-play, don't worry about this. You'll only need it if you want to adjust the volume (or other parameters) of the audio file previewer. To be documented soon.
For more technical users:
I'll document the MUX Vst architecture soon, but in short:
Each MUX plugin instance has its own session.
Within that session's session MUX there is a 'special' MUX, that's the one which is used when the user opens the editor. But now the user can also access the session MUX and insert modules there (for whatever reason), and access the Audio File Previewer etc. On host save/load, everything is saved i.e. the whole plugin session i.e. including samples, multisamples etc.
Looking forward to your feedback.
What's changed:
- Both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
- Also the session MUX is accessible. (details below)

I plugged in MUX Vst in FL10. I also set some custom folders for the FL browser eg a MUX library folder full .Mux files and a sample library folder full of .Wav files. Now what i see here is that FL can drop the wave files on its own UI components but doesn't allow a drop of a wave file on the MUX. And FL says that the MUX library folder is empty, so i guess FL only shows files that it knows itself. So i'm a bit confused by your sentence "The drag and drop from the FL Studio browser works with the MultiSampla and with the basic synth" as i can't repeat that here. How do you do that?
