Unless I dunno what You are attempting to drag where :)

BTW: IMveryhumbleHO its worth hanging onto Cubase like I did/do with Pro Tools as You'll sure miss the depth of MIDI/Audio editing abilites. I could not get by with Ableton Live alone as much as I really love it FWIW and the sheer fun it is to use/get creative with. A kind of Yin and Yang for me personally. But YMMV

I still love my Cubase
I downloaded the Ableton trial just yesterday...

OK, so it should be the most recent version and not restricted in any way for the trial period. My guess would be one of the above reasons, like trying to drag an inappropriate object.

Try to deactivate user account control in case its activated.

Maybe post a screenshot of the browser and Impulse, and point out which object you're trying to drag into the slot, so we can see what you're trying to do. There is a lot of speculation going on here, but I'm sure your answer resides somewhere in one of the posts that have already been made...

I hope it works out great for You Eric C. dude, Honestly Ableton just puts me personally in a whole other zone and I susspose way of approaching things than I would with 'business' and yeah I  Pro Tools and it loves Me back but I bloody well despise AVID, Not so Ableton they have always been good.

So as robojam pointed out if it is the latest version then You have alot to evaluate in a month/30 days but stick to the in-built tutorials, Then build on those :) As said really hope it can add to You're setup as it really did change alot for me and I shall always love Live for that and making an application that is just alot of fun/sparks things that just would not of happened in 'business' along with so much functionality vs what I am used to/use like a big tape machine with editing features tbh (Pro Tools)

I know there are many that stick to one DAW and I understand but no damned way I'd go without either and it opens more doors :hihi:

All the best to yourself and all as always :tu:

Thanks Dean. I didn't have time tonight to work in it tonight. Thanks for the good words.
