Have you tried to rename the presets to *.vstpreset? It may only be a workaround, but worth a try.
And btw: fantastic sounds!!!!
And thank's - I'm pretty flashed by Padshop really!

Woaaa, this must be one of the most gigantic pad sounds I ever programmed using a vocal scape and a orchestral chord from one of my former soundsets.

I get this listed at 353 NOK, which is about $58 converted. Can there be some hidden VAT in there maybe?satYatunes wrote:It says USD 49.99 on their website and it's a downloadable product.

I'm having the same problem - looks like Steinberg have cocked this up. Hope you are not losing your great sounds. I can save as an aupreset using Logic's own save facility but that is not ideal. They need to fix this urgently. Frankly the whole preset browser is a mess - it covers part of the gui so you can't have it open and tweak the controls at the same time, but also there are no arrow keys so you have to keep opening and closing it just to get at the next patch. Also there needs to be a load button as well as save, particularly since the user folder isn't working. They should take a leaf out of how Izotope did it with Iris.Sampleconstruct wrote:Just checked again and the folder you mentioned is exactly the location where I saved my presets to. Now I made some screenshots to demostrate the issue.
So I save a preset by clicking on the disc icon at the bottom of the UI, then Logic tells me this:
I click on the grey option in that popup and check the User folder located at /Users/(yourname)/Library/Audio/Presets/Steinberg Media Technologies/Padshop
also you can see that the preset format looks strange, it's not a normal .vstpreset
Then I try to load the preset again usin the Preset Browser in Padshop and as you see the folder is missing the downwards arrow as if there was nothing in there
So what can I do now?
Cheers
Simon

Hi Stephen, I'm saving everything as a .aupreset so I won't loose anything.
Padshop Pro obviously hasn't been betatested very well in Logic Pro - I'm also having an issue with the Interface of the Plug interfering with Logics Interface. After a while when the GUI is open I can't click into e.g. Logic's Transport Bar to adjust Locators or whatever else. I have to close Padshop to regain control over Logic. As much as I like Padshop I don't really like being a public Betatester of things, this happens more often with freshly released Plugs lately - devs, check your stuff before releasing it, pleeeaaaaase!
Here is another new patch: Glass Dreams made with 2 glass samples, one struck and one fingered.

I've sent a support request to Steinberg reporting the bug and browser issues - maybe it's worth adding another? Yes it seems to me that they concentrated on the VST3 version and that the browser for preset management in other hosts seems very much "tacked on" and is clearly not well tested

This. Clever idea. Always good to contact developers directly, pretty sure they gonna care. (Steinberg support replied to me within 48 hours with some questions I asked)aMUSEd wrote:I've sent a support request to Steinberg reporting the bug and browser issues - maybe it's worth adding another? I tried that this morning but my product (Padshop) wasn't listed in the support form request in "My Steinberg" after downloading the licence to my USB eLicenser and so I couldn't complete my support form after writing on it for about 15 minutes arrgggg, that's why I posted all this sermon in this thread after all and somebody (Q8) obviously listened.aMUSEd wrote:I've sent a support request to Steinberg reporting the bug and browser issues - maybe it's worth adding another? Yes, that's the page, then you have to log in and if your Plug-In isn't listed in your "My Steinberg" you can't complete your support form, at least that's what happened to me this morning. But as Q8 seems to be a Steinberg person I am sure he has transmitted the issues listed in this thread to the Steinberg devs, at least that's my wishful thinking atm.Neon Breath wrote:This is where I sent my question and got a reply: http://www.steinberg.net/en/support/usa/contact.htmlSampleconstruct wrote: I tried that this morning but my product (Padshop) wasn't listed in the support form request in "My Steinberg" after downloading the licence to my USB eLicenser and so I couldn't complete my support form after writing on it for about 15 minutes arrgggg, that's why I posted all this sermon in this thread after all and somebody (Q8) obviously listened.
