MuLab 4.3.8 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/cedar

What's changed since M4.3.7:
  • Note editor: Just quickly touching a short note won't make this a trigger note anymore.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause a crash in certain situations.
  • Multi-point envelope: When switched to "Seconds" then on reload the grid list was in "Beats".
  • Multi-point envelope: When used outside a PolySynth and switched ON again, the envelope is restarted.
If you already installed M4.3.7 you can just update the app/exe file. Separate app/exe packages are also in the mulab/cedar webfolder.

Cheers!

Edit: MuLab 4.3.9 is up, see below.

I downloaded and using the 4.3.6 64 bit... I didn't know that there was a 4.3.7 release and now here a 4.3.8 release! Are they for beta testing? I mean, no tracks of them in the download section on MuTools website :o

oh, I read it before I replied and I downloaded the 4.3.8 but nothing in the first line explains if the 4.3.8 is a beta release, because in the MuTools website that's only the 4.3.6 release officially :D

You're right, next time i'll make it more clear that it's about a pre-release version.

Well that next time is now already:

A new MuLab 4.3.9 pre-release version is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/cedar

What's changed since M4.3.8:
  • When constructing a custom MUX Play Editor layout, you can now resize group frames and module buttons by mouse via the component borders.
  • Deep modular editor: "New Path" now also properly auto-arranges the new patch.
  • Misc. skin refinements.
  • Revised factory library.

Thank you for the reply and for the new pre-release. :)

Up on cedar, there's:
"M4.3.10
=======
* Event Delay: parameters weren't properly reacting on automated meta-parameters. Fixed."
but a .exe replacement only for Win32, timestamped 18-Jul-2012 01:51. Did you decide to get some sleep rather than complete the release? (Is that allowed? ;))

Post

M4.3.10 is a new Win32 build of this morning. Feel free to use it or not. The other versions (Win64 + OSX) will be compiled later. Maybe i should not have put that M4.3.10 build into cedar, maybe that's confusing?

Post

I prefer wait for the win 64 version :D

Frankly, I think there are too many updates. Every couple of days there is a new one, each time about 20mb, and I used to complain about the download size of FL
Maybe it would be better to release just two updates per month, from your website, on the 1. and on the 15th. This way you would also have more time for developing and testing. You might grant access to your server to beta testers so they can test new features a couple of days prior to the release dates, but I think for the general public twice a month is more than enough.

Post

I agree. But the frequent updates of the last days/weeks are a consequence of the intense MUX Vst and 64 bit developments which also affected MuLab. And i don't want to have a MuLab online which contain heavy bugs. Once MUX Vst is released, i'll start on multi-core and MuLab 5/MUX 2. I'm sure there will be some quiter weeks then.

About M4.3.10: Unfortunately the Event Delay bug report came in just after i uploaded M4.3.9. For reasons i wanted to fix that bug asap. I should not have uploaded the M4.3.10 update in the cedar folder that's for sure now. Anyway, can't go back and i'll complete the M4.3.10 update and release it. Last but not least: you always have the choice whether you update or not, right?

Post

PS: I'll do my best to also provide the smaller App/Dll update zips as much as possible, certainly in periods like now where there are many micro updates. These are much easier to download+install.

Post

In theory, yes, I do have the choice. But then again, when with almost every new release here you mention bug fixes in the bullets, people feel they have a buggy version so far. And who wants that :D

Post

Indeed. And it's exactly that same feeling that convinces me each time again to provide such updates as quick as possible.

Post

And the faster you are, the more bugs there will be, it's the Toyota problem :D

Anyway, as far as I am concerned, I don't care about any more updates before the multi-core version. Before that little bugs aren't a problem to me as I can't use Mulab for complete productions anyway. I will just use the time to familiarize myself with the functions and workflow and to program sounds and patterns, and to just play around.
