Well here we go again. I enjoyed the instrument, but wish it was truly a free instrument,so hence the rush job, hope you enjoy. BTW thanks for the ONE vote last month, it was a rough one, way to much overtime and no comptime. Anyhow:

Song Title key88-arturia
DAW Reaper 64 bit V4.25
Instances of Minimoog V Demo version 19
2 instances of Classic Compressor on tracks,
1 instance of Classic Compressor on the Master Channel
1 instance of ReaDelay using the 5 tap preset

Hope you enjoy!

Here's my entry, finally (though I'm not really satisfied :( )

Initially made on Cubase Studio 4, then I switched to the brand new Cubase 6.5 (with some minor issues to fix).

Some details:

- 33 Minimoog V instances
- Melda Autopan, Tal FIlter II, host Compressor on insert (used for some percussions only)
- host EQs (very useful, for a decent snare)
- TAL Dub II, Magnus Ambience on send
- Melda DC blocker, SHEPPi Free Spatial Enhancer, FerricTDs and TLs Maximizer on master bus

Ah, and the title is "A meditation" :)

A meditation

Maybe there's some time left for a second submission. Let's see...

Fixed my post, with the link :)

I usually post some previews before the definitive version. The lite soundcloud account has the "replace file" feature, so no comments get lost after updating the file.

By the way, thanks for following me on soundcloud, Aaron :tu:

This next text was cut down, it was larger before, but i decide to use only these lines.
  • We preferred to not watch any other place, just focused on reach the top.
The air changed a bit now, it was more fresh while getting the highest path of the mountain.
A fatal concern beaten us. We could feel the fear now we were stopped in the middle of nowhere, sat down in that hill.

A small lightball appeared in the middle of the valley, which was getting bigger slowly.
A huge gale started moving our clothes and hairs.
All the ground was shaking and trembling.
Everything was being destroyed and swallowed by that enormous lightform.

We were remembering all our memories, the last time, the last recall, the last tears in our eyes.
A last sight to each other. And the last words while we were dissapearing into the shinning energy.
I can remember you holding my hand very strong before that.
We closed our eyes, we couldn't open them due the sand storm.
I heard you shouting out... In the middle of all the mess, in the middle of the end, in the middle of the last second of our lives.

    I love you...

Then, the nothing, the darkest place for a human. We were splitted because the fate demanded it.
Where will you be when the end happens? With whom will you be?
Track made in about 10 hours, lenght 4 minutes.
A nice freebie i can tell, but a bit CPU demanding (70 - 80 % all the 39 instances).
In any case, i got fun making this track, based on a dream i got about 4 years ago and in my actual situation.

Enjoy the percussion, the flute, the nylon-steel guitar and the epic layered pads in the end. Put it loud, you will enjoy it much more through speakers instead of headphones.
Sorry for the composition structure, the flow sometimes stops when a new instrument appears. (Opening - A1 - B1 - B2 - C1 - C2 - Ending)
I tried to express my actual situation, fear, despair, impotence, hope, my will and a challenge against my life obstacles. I hope i did it right more or less.
Now i need to boosting myself on find it a job, or it won't be a future for me here in Spain. Economic problems. So maybe next month i won't participate. I don't know yet.

As usually, feel free to comment and criticize my work.
I hope you all like the track so much as i have enjoyed making it.

Have a good day, and good luck everyone :)

pretty emotional track IrionDaRonin.

Liked the text that you wrote too.

In my macbook (Core 2 Duo), I only got 16 instances of mini-V after freezing some tracks.

Really beautiful track.

Notice:

Light editions of both Waldorf PPG and DUNE can now be downloaded for free which seem too good to pass up for One-Synth-Challenge so make sure you get them while you can, one or both might end up on the roster some day:

Of course, you make wonderful music. I actually was surprised I wasn't following you already. An oversight quickly corrected. :)

Ok, throwing my hat in this ring.

http://soundcloud.com/jasinski/feeling- ... ria-mini-v

All sounds in this track were created using over 30 instances of Arturia Mini V virtual synthesizer. Programmed and mixed in Ableton Live 8.

Additional processing with Ableton Live's built in EQ, Saturation, Compressor, Reverb, Ping Pong Delay, Fxpansion's Free Compressor, Limiter 6, and Voxengo's free parametric EQ.

Sound design by me.

Indeed, if DUNE BE can considered freeware it is surely right up there or even dethroning the likes of Zebralette, Synth1, ZynAddSubFX, Helix beta.

And cheers for the submissions so far, nice stuff. As are the graphics you put up with the songs it has to be said.

Cool to see freshly released plugs going straight into production.

I'm head over heels for both of them!

So nice to have such high quality free plugs that are also mac compatible - helps with my windows envy. :D
