Zebra 2.5.3 shipped with The Dark Zebra?

Hello,
first of all congratulations for the very interesting dark zebra idea; it's very cool to be able to check how an universally acknowledged pro and his team could tweak Zebra to get sounds for top movie quality sounds.
I read the Dark Zebra manual and see it mentions Zebra 2.5.3 shipped with it, but I also see that latest Zebra2 official release is 2.5.2.
So, is the "standard" Zebra2 shipped together with Dark Zebra a newer version?
2.5.2 has some - quite minor - unfixed things and it would be cool to know that 2.5.3 is ready and has some corrections (one particular problem about which I saw here the report on KVR is something in the effect grid: choosing a specific effect combination caused the display of a wrong knob, Urs mentioned it wouldn't be fixed quickly, but that was months ago...)
Thank you,
Mario

Urs mentioned in the Dark Zebra thread that they will be also releasing an ubdated 2.5.3 Zebra today. I don't think DZ is included with this release. DZ requires the ZebraHZ and is sold together as a "soundware" product.

There'll be a bunch of upgrades shortly, most notably for compatibility with Mountain Lion.

Just so I am clear, the Dark Zebra is not an early version of Zebra 3, but a special edition of Zebra 2......?
Will buyers of Dark Zebra get Zebra 3 at an upgrade-path rate rate?
Thanks

Yes, The Dark Zebra ships with a "Hans Zimmer edition" of Zebra. It's not an update per se, just a special version needed to play some those patches (90% or so of patches play fine in normal Zebra).grandmasterbird wrote:Just so I am clear, the Dark Zebra is not an early version of Zebra 3, but a special edition of Zebra 2......?

Zebra 3 is a whole different story. Nothing is set in stone yet, but we're toying with a 30$ upgrade from Zebra2. No idea yet if tehre#s a special (e.g. free) update from Zebra + The Dark Zebra. Seeing though that The Dark Zebra is on the upper end of the pricing scale and includes a Z3 prototype, I can imagine making Zebra3 a free upgrade. We'll discuss those issues in the months to come.

Thanks Urs,
I guess then that 2.5.3 still has some ghost around like the one I mentioned.
@paulbreeze: thanks for your reply, but I think I already figured it out; my original question was about the standard Zebra2 update.
Cheers,
Mario

I may be wrong but I see more people jumping in on Dark Zebra with a upgrade path to Z3... Or maybe not, Dark Zebra is very cinematic. I guess I was surprised seeing this on the upper end price wise... Then again 400+ presets and I'm sure a lot of work went into this...Urs wrote:Seeing though that The Dark Zebra is on the upper end of the pricing scale and includes a Z3 prototype, I can imagine making Zebra3 a free upgrade. Yes. Currently I am trying to resist buying ZebraHZ. After all, it is mere usual Zebra with Diva's filters, and also with just another soundset.emtear wrote:I may be wrong but I see more people jumping in on Dark Zebra with a upgrade path to Z3...Urs wrote:Seeing though that The Dark Zebra is on the upper end of the pricing scale and includes a Z3 prototype, I can imagine making Zebra3 a free upgrade. But with bonus "free upgrade to Z3" it is a totally different story.
P. S. There are "irony" and "sarcasm" smiles?

Peeps at u-he like that idea. We'll might announce this once we shell out some facts about Z3 (weeks rather than months from now)trance_lucent wrote:But with bonus "free upgrade to Z3" it is a totally different story.

Just do it now, you know everyone will upgrade to Z3 @ $30 and it makes the sound set a bit approchable for some on the fence.Urs wrote:Peeps at u-he like that idea. Btw talking about Zebra HZ. Any way I could force my presets saved as fxp made in normal Zebra to open in this divine version?
