Wow, this is a fantastic soundset!
A question about the presets, some of them begin to sound as soon as selected and continue to play until a new sound is selected. Is this normal behavior?
I'm working around it by either rendering or automating volume, is there another way to start/stop notes?

ARe you holding notes down when you switch presets? If not it's possibly a stuck on note. Try sending a MIDI all notes off message (CC 123, value 0) to see if it stops.tenfingers wrote:A question about the presets, some of them begin to sound as soon as selected and continue to play until a new sound is selected. Thanks, I got an answer from Urs about this on anther forum, apparently it's a bug and he told me about the workarounds.

I've been having this problem and it's a bit annoying.tenfingers wrote:Thanks, I got an answer from Urs about this on anther forum, apparently it's a bug and he told me about the workarounds.
The sound though... ZebraHZ came from nowhere but has totally itched a scratch I've had for a long time - the sound of an arbitrarily controllable digital waveform generator feeding a good analog filter. It just blows me away

It is a bit irritating but as you say the sound more than makes up for it.Sendy wrote:

This is what Urs posted in reply to me on GS:
"We have a stupid bug in Zebra that sometimes causes stuck notes when changing presets (the alternative was clicks and pops due to sudden changes, which we found to be worse). We'll address this soon.
To "unstuck" notes just change the voice mode, e.g. from poly to legato and back, or change the number of voices (or shortly lift keys before changing a preset)."

The AU works after logging out and in, or a reboot. For some reason MacOS X sometimes doesn't "get" the extra plugin added to the component file.

The first time I downloaded it. It was corrupt. Which is why it wouldn't open.bmrzycki wrote:Hi Michael, mcnoone wrote:Hey Urs!
The Dark Zebra is for Windows here.
I need the Mac version, but I'm downloading using Windows, then transfer it.
Why no platform choice in the dl section?
No wonder why I got an error trying to open it on my mac.
I opened it on windows to only see the exe file, and other stuff.
The download file should contain both the Mac and Windows versions. At least my copy did. Maybe there's a glitch on share-it's site?
It's a larger file than normal, and 10kbs dl, took forever.
I dl'ed a second time, and opened it in windows first to see.
It's okay cuz it opened this time. I was looking for a dmg though. Not a pkg.
Thanks for your help.

I'm getting CPU spikes with the bite LPF at seemingly every quality level (and in monophonic mode). It jumps from the usual 3% CPU to 100 and then back down again in a way that none of the other filters do. Has anyone else got this?

In Live on Mac here... I'm getting insane spikes and weird randomness with pretty much all the Diva filters. Live is going up to 1400+ % utilization. But Bite does seem to be worse than others.Sendy wrote:I'm getting CPU spikes with the bite LPF at seemingly every quality level (and in monophonic mode). Wow... I haven't gone into proper stress testing yet but just "playing around" it was only the Bite LPF that went off the charts, all the other filters seemed to perform well and used under 5% for one voice.GruvSyco wrote:In Live on Mac here... I played around for a while after that post and it looks like it was mostly on Divine that I had the severe spikes on all the filters. Had quite a bit of fum with the multimode and the bite HPF without issue. Looks like it's just the Bite LPF that's the big drain.Sendy wrote:Wow... yeah t's kinda like diva pre multi threading, draft mode and low polyphony may be sometimes necessary, you can usually fiddle with those until you get a playable fit and just render when needed.
Multi threading and finer polyphony controls ie. duo and 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 poly etc a la Diva make this easier so they'd be an obvious candidate for future updates.
