......Any news about the currency conversion matter

Yes. I'm not 100% certain I fully understood what I was told, but basically the excess price was a construct out of variable currency conversion fees of credit card institutes (presumably an average between 2-3 percent) and a hidden fee for a chargeback insurance, so I guess literally twice the average conversion charge. I haven't fully made sense out of it, but I was baffled enough to express my anger.

Our account manager since got them to drop that insurance bit for us when pointing out that we have a very low chargeback rate. As far as I can see we now have quite reasonable conversion fees (TDZ is < 85€ now)

Not sure if I'm 100% happy, but it's a start.

Not that I know of. The price seems to be fixed before you put in your payment details.

This is where I'm a bit confused. If the conversion fees vary it seems impossible to set the price beforehand.

So I suppose they use an average or a worst case to set it beforehand.

I wonder if it's any better if we manually set the price for each currency.

I was wondering about this too. 99 usd is about 100 Canadian, but I paid 109 Canadian. I don't really care, but I was surprised at the conversion.
