Very strange that. I bought my upgrade 3 hours ago with 50% of the cost (42EUR) covered via jampoints.lotus2035 wrote:You must be a registered user of ARC System version 1 in order to purchase this Upgrade

Peter is a good friend of mine but I would not hold my breath, besides that I wont use names because I doubt any of the three have a say in this to begin with and they are just doing what they are told. I'm sure Peter will pass your point along but I'm not sure IK will listen.Compyfox wrote:@Hink:
I contacted Peter from IKM on this behalf already. Let's see what the supposed "head honcho" has to say. One thing is for certain - both Brian and ObiK took it a bit far lately. I mean, it was even adressed in the "spam" section, yet nothing happened (as with a certain firm with a capital C in the name).
Yet the people critisizing get temp bans for childish behavior?
Beats me, way over my head. Seriously.
It's not my intent to slam IK, in fact I'm trying to offer constructive criticism but unfortunately rarely is it taken that way within the IK community

I'm looking at the buy page now and it seems I can add jampoints although I can't be sure until I go through with the purchase. It'll be next month until I can pick it up anyway (if I can use Jampoints that is). Fingers crossed.whyterabbyt wrote:Very strange that. Are trying to use your Jam Points for the upgrade or the full version?

$99 for an upgrade for the software only? Seems quite steep. Was the first version that inadequate that there were such big gains to make this new version worth $100 more?

That's not me and I'm told neither of my guys (I believe neither would have any reason to do this) so the solution is simple... I'll see if a mod will run an IP check etc and go from there. I'll address the other issues best I can as well, as soon as I can post again. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.lotus2035 wrote:That dubstep guy has PERFECT timing.

Don't worry they'll eventually evolve. Next time they'll make sure to register and activate several accounts ahead of product release.lotus2035 wrote:That dubstep guy has PERFECT timing.

IP number. Don't get me laugh guys. It's 2012.
Anyone with simplest mind can go google over top 10 free web proxies and just log in to KVR via proxy and post without anyone at KVR being able to make IP trace (i wouldn't be surprised if it isn't done already).
Bringing attention? Peter when was the last time you focused your attention on your PR boys here. Like you didn't know it. Since we are about attention come on this is getting funny. Even i can recall Compyfox and bunch of others talking and arguing with IK about how useful and really is surprising that ARC doesn't have "disable on render" button. Call me crazy but didn't someone from IK confirmed that this is on to do for ver2?
I am not ARC user but i am going to support people here. What is enough is enough. I am sick of obtrusive marketing tactics..

You know a simple Google search for that guy's name matches an Australian dubstep artist (just like his profile indicates) who's been on soundcloud etc for a good couple of years dont you?memyselfandus wrote:http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5009194lotus2035 wrote:That dubstep guy has PERFECT timing.

@kmonkey - I understand that but I'm willing to see what methods the mods suggest as this wasn't me or any IK employee.
I have given CompyFox much detail about how much I've paid attention to my guys here and to what lengths I've gone and intend to go, I really have done so. I'm sorry you don't feel I have but indeed I have and I'm going to do it more too.
Again, that user isn't one of us and we don't register additional accounts as sock puppets. Also, I was a sysadmin for years and I know that they'll obviously check for proxies and such and that there is more to it than an IP check. I'm not stupid or here to make you laugh either. Once the appropriate actions are taken it will at least be clear whether this was an attempt by someone to deceive via proxy, etc, and we'll go from there. [Edit - or I'll wisely realize you have your mind made up and move on to not bother with pushing a boulder up a hill and continue to read the rest of the thread with actual product suggestions and other concerns that need to be answered. Yeah, I think I'll do that. I'll return to the thread with product/pricing/etc information that is relevant to the thread instead of playing a part in the soap opera as soon as I possibly can.]
Plus.. what whyterabbyt said.

What are you implying? Are you even normal? Nice try but it won't work on me. Please name one ...actually since you are implying this please give me two or three links (my history is available to public) where did i play part in soap opera as soon as i possibly couldPeter - IK Multimedia wrote:@kmonkey - I understand that but I'm willing to see what methods the mods suggest as this wasn't me or any IK employee.

And please let's not loose focus. This dude could be just fine legit person asking for help. And no, no any normal mod be it KVR or whatever would or should reject anyone using a proxy to surf web. There are dozen of valid every day reason why person could/need/should use web proxy. You know proxies aren't used only for ip fooling. And no you can't do anything about it. If you really have sysadmind experience you should know this by now
I'll make another try to bring you attention (you obviously missed it) to the fact that long year IK supporters here at KVR are turning back on your company.
When you see this did it ever occurred that maybe there is a room for improvement or that there is some sign of system flaw in all this.
