Hi,
I like Guitarist very much and I think it is second best to a good guitarist. But as a keyboarder it would be convienient to be able to define the chords also by keyboard input. It would help to build patterns faster.
Kind regards,

Great idea.
I would add a midi out to a feature request in order to use the sequencer of Guitarist but as well the possibility to generate the guitar tone by other Guitar sample plugins.

Agree, except, if you take the current MIDI patterns that are available and paste them into another guitar sim's midi track, I find the notes are too short.
It's like Sugarbytes have tailored the MIDI output currently available, to be unuseable with other guitar sims.
Alternatively, I have tried to use Melodyne DNA to convert the notes / chord sounds to MIDI notes, to get the right note lengths, and this produces a mess of harmonics etc.
If Guitarist would produce MIDI notes that can be used in other guitar sims, that would be great though.
That, and, improve the guitar samples in Guitarist itself.
It's a great guitar writing tool, but there's no way you can use it to create realistic guitar tracks because of these limitations.
Another issue is the clunkiness of the GUI and pattern building workflow. But I could live with it as it is if the MIDI output option suggested, produced useable guitar tracks with other sims.

Yes there is always the risk that a potential midi out feature would have the same effect as midi drag & drop, which would make it useless to have it work well with another guitar sample plugin, but I just hope they would make it right.
Never thought about using melodyne, will try that soon, do you use melodyne on the DI Box out or via the amp models, as without amps , I would expect to have less harmonics , I would expect to have less "errors" when converting to midi.
The sequencer is a pain when you start using Guitarist, as it has some strange logic, but after spending some time with it, I get along.
Cheers, Sato

Yeah I used the clean, non driven sound from Guitarist in Melodyne, but you still get a mess of harmonics, unfortunately.
I could try it again and try to learn how you can reduce harmonics / ghost sounds in Melodyne I guess.
