This would be very interesting. But I'm sure there must be thousands of users, am I right? It would also be interesting to know how many users the other DAW's have...
If you compare the facebook/twitter/youtube counters, you'll get some idea.
Then you'll see that MuTools still is small scale and logically that makes it difficult aka challenging to survive. The good news is that things are growing, step by step. I guess it takes time to discover all the depth :D But it would be great if things would grow faster. So if you want MuLab and the MUX to evolve faster, spread all MuLab/MUX news as much as possible via your social networks. You could also create great sounding and popular tracks preferrably using Mu-stuff only and share these MP3s here and everywhere else. And make + share awesome MUX presets. MuLab and the MUX must get more known. And for i'm spending most of the time in the dev-lab, please help making it more popular whenever & wherever you can! Thanks :tu:

Oh, and probably many of those fans on FB, YT etc. don't even own (a paid version of) Mulab :P I can see why you still have to do other jobs as well.

Given that people change VST's like underwear, but seldom their DAW's because of the lack of compatibility with their existing work, it might make sense to focus more on Mulab as a whole so that it becomes serious competition for the big standard DAW's out there. I don't think it makes sense to just copy all kinds of features from the more expensive DAW's, instead Mulab should offer things that none of the others has :)

Once I am finished with a few songs, I will put them on Youtube and say that they were recorded on Mulab :D Sounds like a threat, I know  Don't worry, whatever I put there, it will have been tested successfully on innocent victims such as friends and family before 8)

Maybe we could have some competition where we make a mux synth or effect or a track just used with mux (or mulab of course ... or both!)

Hey, thanks, I made a nice track using your patches :D The good thing is that nobody can hear how much I suck at playing keyboards :D But judging from the air guitar solo I just recorded on an audio track I am not much better at playing the guitar, either :hihi:

I can't put an ETA on that yet. Needs extra research.
Is there definitely going to be one though? Considering there is a limited time offer on Mux now it would be useful to know so I can buy it while the offer is still on and then wait for the Mac version (unless you repeat the offer when it comes out)

Post

I can't promise anything yet on the Mac version, so to be honnest: don't buy now and wait+expect the Mac version. I would rather repeat the special offer for the Mac version, that sounds fair. Background info: OSX is a very volatile OS, it's breaking compatibilities all the time. I'll have a deeper research about that during the next big R&D stage, that is during MuLab 5 / MUX Vst 2 development, which will start after the multi-core R&D, which will start (in fact: continue) soon.
