I'm a little bit thick

Is Tyrell 6 or 8 voice polyphonic ?

I know that there could be a clue in that it is called Tyrell N6,but there is also the option of an 8 voice stack..

So I'm trying to figure this all out and the best I can come up with is that it must be a 7 voice synth - in between 6 and 8

So could somebody please enlighten me so that I can sleep peacefully at night again :help:

It's free so it's easy to enlighten yourself ;-)

sleep tight!
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

It's 8 voice polyphonic. Voice stack divides this number - so an 8 voice stack is monophonic.

Thanks, i've also been wondering what the polyphony is... a bit of a shame, as Tyrell's pads sound excellent, but then, maybe better for my CPU to have only 8 voices. :P

If you need more than 8 voices use more than 1 instance.

Ok, never thought of doing so, thanks for the tip.

You can even layer them up in combinators if you know what your doing and route the various outputs through some of reasons FX, such as the D11 distortion unit for a real fat analog sound.

I didn't know you could get Tyrell for Reason. I thought it was only VST/AU.

From the movie "Blade Runner", a replicant (bioengineered or biorobotic being) are made from the company "Tyrell Corp". Their latest version is the "Nexus-6".

For anyone you hasn't watched it - you should! Great film and soundtrack...

Well this one is really the latest, latest version so it should have been called the Tyrell N8...

'Specially since it's got 8 voices and all....
