Hi,

I just got Filterscape today and all 3 plugins crash in Reaper 32 bits on WinXP.
They work fine in Cantabile Performer.
They are registered correctly but as soon as I insert any of them, with no other plug-ins loaded, Reaper 4.25 crashes to desktop.
I just sent a support request along with the crash report but I thought someone might have an anwser here.
Thanks for helping.

I'll get Fritz on the case tomorrow.

Do you get any message beforehand? Any pop up about missing file permissions or anything?

Post

Nope, no message.
As soon as I click OK to load any of the 3 plugins, the whole thing comes down.
And thanks for looking into it so quickly.

I just tried loading FilterscapeVA 64-bit in Reaper 4.25/x64. I was able to load and flip through presets without any crashes.

Are you presets located inside Program Files? This may be the dreaded Windows 7/Vista permissions problem:

of course, crashes should never happen.

I'm still on WinXP so it's not a permission problem.

The thing is that filterscape loads fine in Chainer and Kore 2 standalone or Studio One v2.
So it's definitely Reaper-related.
Has anyone else experienced this?

We'll try to get you a build in Monday that prints debugging information into a text file. This may help to figure out what's happening.

I'm on WinXP with Reaper 4.25. No problems here.

We can't reproduce it here. After my suggestion to try it with a fresh Reaper portable install the prob is gone. :) So it seems to be some path related problem in Karten's special case.

Sorry, I lost track a bit, where are we with this? I guess we should stills end him a fresh build with support for Filterscape.log?

;) Urs
