You're most welcome ! You learn something new everyday, eh ?

To be totally honest though, I didn't know C6 had a Maximiser either. Due to the competition rules I had to make do with standard Cubase effects, so I dug around, found it and gave it a go.

I've never used because I prefer to use the PSP VintageWarmer for those type of jobs ( that and some of the UAD plugs ). Think the VW was the first plugin I ever bought actually ..

Cheers,

Third Floor.

V'ger wrote:Cheers, that clears it up. By the way, the Cubase Stepfilter is one thing I really miss after emigrating.. The highpass mode is sweet.
True that, the StepFilter is a very underrated plugin, but highly usable.

I don't really use any of the standard Cubase effects, apart from the EQ, but the StepFilter always seems to somehow find its way into my tracks.

Oh, poop. I think I may be too late. (My first time trying to enter OSC and my first time using SoundCloud.)

I'm going to go ahead and post anyway and if I am too late at least I can get some feedback.

It's called By the Light of the Gibbous Moon.

Only 3 instances of the free Minimoog V. Sonar X1 and the built in TempoDelay and StudioVerb.

edit: ...and poop again. I just clicked on the track here in the thread and it was nothing but static, so I had to go re-upload it to SoundCloud.

A second tune. The Banished Satyr.

Also 3 instances of Minimoog V free. A bit of Ambience, StudioVerb, and TempoDelay. SV and TD built into Sonar X1.

Anyhow, as I said, I'm pretty sure I missed the deadline, but I hated to not post them.

I'm still a relative newbie here, but having listened to some of the older submissions, it seems that the quality of the submissions keeps getting better and better, and last month was quite possibly the best ever. I usually start with a list of 10-12 tracks I like, and go through a few rounds of listening to narrow it down to 5. This time my starting list contained 25 tracks! And so far I managed to narrow it down to 12.

Indeed, the level has really improved. Of course always helps with a top synth and top prices. :)

Yes, absolutely. And thank you V'ger and Irion for making that happen. :)
