Multiband wrote: The "Stronger" companies believe in their software and focus on giving promos to the user base they already. And as I said in an earlier post "The customer is the company" almost nails it. We where quite a few people whom both here and at another site felt that it was a promo more directed to the new customer base or they whom had not bought so deep into the 2CAudio catalog. My calculating mind read the customer mail-out like those whom only got the "new kid on the block" Breeze was the clear winner and for the rest of us there was nothing in it. Should there have been a ladder of rebates to be found I find it hard to believe that we should have seen anything other then cheerful congratulations and praises for all the hard work that went into it, and for 2CAudio to give us all another winner. I also said that it does not matter if someone tries to tell you that you should not be upset or feel like you've been cheated. If thats how you read a presentation then it is what it is.

There is a promo/cross-grade for ALL existing customers. We always do that when the products are in the same family of things. People seem to overlook that.

The debate is "should all customers get the same discount" or "should customers who have the perfect storm or equivalent via separate purchases get more of a discount". It always gets tricky to figure out once we start playing "who gets/deserves what" and someone is always discontent in some way or another... Honestly $100 off compared to the final retail price seems like a pretty good deal to me for all customers, and seems to work out for all the various pricing possibilities...

Nonetheless, we have heard the requests regarding "ladder" cross-grades and are attempting to implement them in an equitable manner. More soon.

And yes people who have already purchased will pay the same as whatever we decide.

We'll let's try and see how it goes :D :

Summary (for new people): as you should know by now we released the latest member of the 2CAudio family a few days ago: B2. We have also updated our Perfect Storm Bundle to version 2.0. We initially offered all existing 2CAudio customers an additional $50 discount beyond the current introduction pricing on B2. This meant all existing customers could pick up B2 for $149.95 during the into period, and many of you have already.

It has been suggested by several customers in various forums that customers who have ALL of our products to date, i.e. The Perfect Storm Bundle 1.0 or equivalent, should receive a larger cross-grade discount than those who only have ONE product. We thought about this deeply, as we try to listen to our customers as much as possible, and while we do feel $149.95 is an excellent cross-grade price for the level of quality that B2 offers, we have decided honor this suggestion. We do agree fully that customer satisfaction is everything, and we want you all, who have all of our products, to know how deeply we value your brand loyalty. We thank you for your support.

Therefore if you have previously purchased The Perfect Storm 1.0 bundle, you may now upgrade to The Perfect Storm 2.0 bundle for only $99.95 during the introductory offer period from now until September 01, 2012. After September 1st, you may still upgrade for $149.95.

To take advantage of this offer follow the instructions that were provided via email. Or email us to clarify if you are unsure.

If you have already purchased B2 using the previous discount we will issue you a $50 partial refund, as to match your price with this amended offer that you now qualify for.

The discussions that led us to this decision can be found here:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6
http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-prod ... everb.html

You will notice B2 seems to have about a 100% approval rating in terms of sound-quality, features, and performance, and it seems we may have another hit on our hands. The only complaints seem to be:

1) Perfect Storm customers should get a larger discount than single-product customers.
2) It's too good. (or "we like it more than Aether", etc.)

This email, solves issue number 1, and I think over time we can all agree being "too good" is not really a problem! :) As always we appreciate your support and feedback, and we encourage you to join these discussions as you see fit.

This has already gone out to Perfect Storm Customers, who purchased in one step. We need to implement a change in our web store to be able to handle the case where everything was purchased separately. That may take a day or two more. We will let you know.

So in summary, we are happy to give you guys what you asked for.

Everyone happy? Let's see...

to handle the case where everything was purchased separately.
So if we own Aether and Breeze (and in my case, the extra Aether presets) - all from separate purchases - will we get an email too? Or just a different code to use on the web site?

If you own everything that makes up the Perfect Storm 1.0 (Aether, Breeze, and Aether Preset Expansions) regardless as to whether they were purchased together as the official "Perfect Storm Bundle" or you rolled your own along the way, then yes you qualify for the upgrade to Perfect Storm 2.0.

We will need a separate code for the "role you own" case. And at the moment my web store can not handle this situation, so we have to build it in. So you will get another email, and I will announce it here when it is ready for this case.

(And the next inevitable question is "what if I have Aether and Breeze, but not the presets?" In this case the smart thing to do is to first order the presets, and then order Upgrade to the PS 2.0. You save slightly extra, and you get 300+ new Aether presets. And then you are in our system as an official Perfect Storm customer, and it is easier on us, and we may add extra things to this package later such as more presets perhaps for B2, etc.)

I don't even know what to say. I don't think this is fair to 2CAudio in the least. People, I want you to know this is NOT common courtesy. Only goes to prove what I've always known about these guys. Righteous :D (and under-appreciated). But I know what I'll be using this on.

"what if I have Aether and Breeze, but not the presets?"
I just realised I have one set of presets (Integrity) but not the other. That's too crazy to compute - so I'm just gonna go for the double $50 discount (intro price, plus own Aether & Breeze).

When all the dust is settled, I'll grab the last Aether presets if it's worth it to be a "Perfect Storm 2" owner ;-)
