Very well, I'll contact Nord, but I suspect they could be looking at Flash instead, and I have driver interfaces to write again, so I will be away quite a while.VariKusBrainZ wrote:HeavensOnEarth wrote: How about a Nord Modular editor as VST?? That would be quite popular.
The original editor doesnt work on Windows anymore.
The opensource editor Nomad is well dodgy and many cannot get it to function properly, including myself.

somebody else said this the other day, but I have no idea why; the editor works fine in Win7/x64.VariKusBrainZ wrote:How about a Nord Modular editor as VST??

+1. Own both, love both, but it's hard to beat Aalto's routing system. I don't think I've seen a better one.MitchK1989 wrote:as someone who owns a real analog modular (15u of eurorack) I am very grateful for the lack of realistic cables on aalto (wonderful synth) - the way the middle section holds all the routing without getting in the way of the knobs is glorious. It is a UI masterpiece. Don't get me wrong, I love ACE as well - but the routing on aalto is amazing.
I'm enjoying the Circle demo - also has a great mod system, though of course doesn't quite fit in this group since it avoids cables altogether.

Dark Star looks like fitting your profile.IncarnateX wrote:This is a round up in which I hope you can close any gabs for me. Please note that with virtual cables I mean at least semi realistic GUIs. Thus a simple line connecting two symbolic modules is not it (like in KarmaFX or in trackers).

No surprise thre, once there was something about it only working on some machines in the release notes.whyterabbyt wrote:somebody else said this the other day, but I have no idea why; the editor works fine in Win7/x64.VariKusBrainZ wrote:How about a Nord Modular editor as VST??

I won't make a VST client for it unless Nord approves. But I'll ask. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I really do have to go. Cheerio )

Darks Star's cables are cosmetic. You can not move them. It is not a modular synth unfortunately but thanks anyway.Numanoid wrote:Dark Star looks like fitting your profile.IncarnateX wrote:This is a round up in which I hope you can close any gabs for me. Yes it does.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Yes.HeavensOnEarth wrote:There is now a flash-based modular synth with virtual cabling. Its routing is with aAngled cables between, rather than curved cables over, the modules:

Is the Nord virtual modular system still available for download? I may be able to make a shell for it to interact with VSTs. [/img]
How about a Nord Modular editor as VST?? That would be quite popular.

Ive tried the original Nord editor everal times over the years and never been abele to get it to work on Win7 x32. I thought it was public knowledge it was dodgy. It just cant see the midi drivers.
Nomad is able to read from the micromod but not write to it

Can not dig this one. At http://www.g200kg.com/en/docs/webmodular/ I am taken to a kind of script page but the synth is nowhere to be seen. Is it down for the moment?
Cheers

You need to connect a midi cable to the hardware device, it never worked by feeding midi to the editor, it's what you use to edit patches, it never was the controller.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Really??whyterabbyt wrote:somebody else said this the other day, but I have no idea why; the editor works fine in Win7/x64.VariKusBrainZ wrote:How about a Nord Modular editor as VST??

Unless you mean the demo, that's based on an earlier version.

Oh dear, it is a beauty! But I am afraid it is a dedicated hardware plugin from soniccore and I am looking for standalone software. But thanks for the image.Xaviero2012 wrote:yo your missing this one
