Well, I thought maybe there are effects specifically for vocals among those countless effects in Mulab. My old Boss hardware recorder has a set of effects with settings geared at recording vocals...

I do think you have to study production techniques a bit in general first. Everything starts with the physics of sound: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound

Well, I suppose I will export the Mulab instrumental to the Boss recorder, record vocals on it using those dedicated vocal effects, and then import only the finished vocals tracks as an audio file into Mulab

I know I will never become an audio engineer like Bruce Swedien, I am happy if it sounds OK for an amateur

If that increases your musical creativity, then great!

I don't think of it in terms of creativity. It is just more practical. Not least because the Boss is independent of the computer and portable, I can take it with me to the 1 square meter storeroom I have, which is like a recording chamber built right into my apartment

I do not rule it out, but only if it is not too much trouble. I suppose there might be some loss and maybe other problems when transferring sound from the Boss to Mulab, which would not be the case when directly recording into Mulab. Well, I will see, first I have to write lyrics anyway, so far my song has little black holes where they are supposed to be Vocals is by far the most difficult thing about music to me...

I do have also Mulab UL, but now with the MUX vst ..i can use it in a other DAW

All the time that i was here on the forum for Mulab, there were no videos for working with MUX..and it seems that @Trancit let us show more what is possible with MUX.

Real time is the key -
1. If we can see your workflow that will be helpful
2. After the performance/recording perhaps if not to much to ask for you to do text overlay to comment on what you were accomplishing and why.

It is meant by me on a honest way, because you are enthousiastic about the MUX enviroment seems to me.

It is all the time that the modular aspect of Mulab is praised high.. now there is someone who knows more about it .. i like to see it @Trancit !

The most of this should be no problem, even if I would use different features of the MUX to realize this kind of sounds...
and of course, zircon is a very good muscian and knows his stuff very well...

On the other side, there is no FM Synthesis in the MUX... but there are very good FM respectfully Hybrid synths out there even as freeware like i.e. Crystal, which would be only used as soundsources...

That's exactly what I like the most regarding the MUX:
There is no such a feature... no problem, simply enjoy using a specialized VST inside, which does the job 10.000 times better than any module of 99% of other modular enviroments do...
No need to claim at the developer...we need this or that... just expand your stuff however you like...no limits...
