Will Berlin Modular be one synth that includes _______, _______, and _______?

Post

Honestly, I don't really know yet. It's always been a moving target, and as with all of those, neither dates nor specifics can ever be unveiled. Only ideas can be propelled. One day hopefully this whole thing will emerge.

(this year I think I have written 100 times more emails and forum posts than actual code... we're working on a fix for that so that it's not just on Clemens and Sascha's shoulders to get these projects going - I must withdraw myself from this... I must overcome the tingling urge to check mails and forum posts)

yes just wanted to make sure the one i love is the 4012. which now i'm sure it is .(as heard all over depeche mode's speak&spell record)

I wonder which one is the 2600 filter in the SE ATC?

I'm not sure, I'd assume it's based on the 4072. From what I understand, the maximum cutoff on the 4072 is 12kHz where the 4012 goes much higher (giving the impression of being more aggressive because of increased high end range). I'd assume that folks who have cloned the 4072 would have found ways to open the filter beyond 12kHz...
but I don't own an ATC or anything with an ARP inspired filter, so I wouldn't know.

the 4072 filters must have been pretty terrible as in depeche mode studios over the years u can always see stacks of arp2600s but never ever the black/orange ones sporting the 4072. only the dark gray ones.
from what i can see they are mainly arp2600P v2.0s.

You guys are way more knowledgable and technical minded that I am. I'm just trying to get a sense of what Berlin Modular will be. I'm assuming Bazille is one of the modules, and then ACE, and another with Diva and Zebra et al remaining separate.

lol

p.s.

but anyway i guess most of us really apprishiate the honest and first hand answers from developers

Good luck!!!

looks like a bug,

use sequencer as the sound source and feed one of the three jacks to any input (depth 0 or to quantizer etc...)

In the screen that routing affect the sound..

It should alter the sound.

I don't quite understand... what do you reckon that should happen?

I guess you're concerned about the change of the sequence? Or are you concerned about a "modulation signal" going into an "audio input" - note that, like ACE, we do not distinguish between audio signals and modulation signals in Bazille...

Post

as you can see from the screen above,

output from 3d jack goes into an fract-reso input and change (divide) the sequence.

This works if sequencer is audio source

So, it's a normal behavior of the sequencer in bazille?

Edit:
This works when sequencer is "modulation signal" too..

OSC3 isn't going anywhere - only an input is patched (fractal modulation with zero amount, no fractal mode selected). Also, the sequencer output (a modulation signal) will only give you clicks in that patch. Is that what you wanted?

So try this: Attach OSC3 raw output to main output 2, change the fractal mode from "off" to e.g. "Saw" and turn up the amount of fractal modulation. It works fine here...

yeah, and with this routing sequence divided
by patching first jacks to fract-mod in...

No matter if you feed oscillator to output or not, this works with any input.

Modulate morph and turn up "Divide"..
