Thank you very much!

Usually Wavelab 6, but also Samplitude, Reaper - (sometimes FL Studio) - I had a vocoder many years ago that worked in stereo, and I have been looking this ever since - so I'm looking forward to it...MeldaProduction wrote:Well, I'm afraid the answer really is "via sidechain"mljung wrote:I simply can't get this working.
How do I feed the sound I want to "vocode" with another. Please don't just say via sound-chain, let me know in detail what to do. A video tutorial would be even better if possible..!?. What host are you using?
Edit:
Tried in Wavelab, using the the "Upper Track" output option, but it crashed.
Will try in Reaper and Samplitude when I have the time. In the old Vocoder plugin I had, I could simply load a wave-file in the plugin itself, it worked very well.

Thanks for the offer. I now have my first plugin created by you.
But: opening the manual of Vocoder showed many missing images. Probably fatigue and deadlines...

Load wave file - you mean like a carrier for looping? Well, that looks quite limited. Anyway I wasn't even aware there is a side-chaining possibility in Wavelab. You should make it work easily in Reaper or Samplitude, though Cubase or Logic are probably way easier to use when it comes to side-chain.mljung wrote:Usually Wavelab 6, but also Samplitude, Reaper - (sometimes FL Studio) - I had a vocoder many years ago that worked in stereo, and I have been looking this ever since - so I'm looking forward to it...MeldaProduction wrote:Well, I'm afraid the answer really is "via sidechain"mljung wrote:I simply can't get this working.

Anyhow no cubase and logic here, but did some testing yesterday in Reaper. It worked somehow but not very well. Maybe I didn't do it right. Anyhow will try again when I'm back on my computer in a couple of days...

Yes!! Actually it was one of the main points. MMultiBandGranular now should be way more CPU-friendly.unguitar wrote:Should we see an improvement in CPU stress then ?MeldaProduction wrote:Hey folks,

Hi, I downloaded the demo of mvocoder to try in studio one, but I couldn't get it to work. Studio one hasn't got the most flexible routing so I wondered if anyone else had tried it and got it to work and if so how did they do it?
Any help appreciated! Thanks...

I shouldn't be a problem with Studio One. Do this:kev2525 wrote:Hi, I downloaded the demo of mvocoder to try in studio one, but I couldn't get it to work. Studio one hasn't got the most flexible routing so I wondered if anyone else had tried it and got it to work and if so how did they do it?

1) Create 2 tracks, put MVocoder on the first one.
2) Show inspector and select track 2.
3) Look at "Sends" in the inspector, click "+" and select Side-chains/"name of the track with the vocoder"
That's all

Thanks I got it to work. However, it's showing large CPU spikes. And not all of the presets seem to generate a sound. Some work and some don't. I'll have another look this evening. The presets sound great so I'd like to buy this, but at the moment the CPU spikes are making it hard to use.MeldaProduction wrote:I shouldn't be a problem with Studio One. A few people reported spikes, but I didn't find anything so far (nor I see reason for it). Are you on Mac or Windows? What latency are you using?
