Had a C64 and developed a nice midi/sound engine that was used in some games. Only, my C64 had a broken, out-of-tune SID and somehow it wouldn't like the new rev. of soundchips I got for replacement.
Bought an Atari Falcon 030 only days before Atari went r.i.p. (and Creator SL wouldn't even run, because the dongle was incompatible, so I stayed with the 1040ST for another 8 years)
Got a cheap x86 with a 233MHz P2 MMX Cyrus (was that the name of the crappy 3rd party chip manufacturer?) processor, which had an experimental USB port, shortly before USB became standard. Never worked. I mean, never worked for anything than writing some .docs
D'oh... that must be the way the cookie crumbles...
