Yeah! Same here. Got DIVA two days ago and this is the first feature I'm missing already.

I also can't wait for this. Hopefully it's more or less like Zebra. I'd be happy for it to be without pitch offset, but I understand some people like to use that as a little sequencer. But I say that's what a sequencer's for. But an arp with variable note length, per note glide and swing at least would be marvellous. If there was a global note length modifier that would really kick some ass. That's the only thing Zebra's arp is missing imho.

The arp speed is the same as a global note length modifier no?
I'd like to have a couple more note lengths... you can only slow down from default, not speed up.
A sequencer is not the same as the pitch offset cause the pitch offset follows what notes you hold and a sequencer is fixed

A big +1 on the ARP request. Can't wait to get my Tangerine Dream basses rolling in Diva.

I am well aware. But people don't often hold chords when the pitches are getting offset. Unless they are custom octave positions. It gets pretty tough to control what you are playing. I can understand a transposed sequence (ie. holding one key at a time at different pitches). When people use the pitch offset in an arp, it is typically to make a sequence. That's all I was saying.pdxindy wrote:Echoes in the Attic wrote:I also can't wait for this. Hopefully it's more or less like Zebra. As for arp speed being the same as note length, no, not what I meant. But that too is a note length. What I'm talking about is a global gate more accurately. But arps often label it as "Length", like in Omnisphere.

What we have in mind is a 101-ish step sequencer plus a 60-ish arpeggiator. Nothing too fancy, but gets the job done. Maybe with pattern memory.

Would the steps of the sequence be able to trigger the arp steps? Or would they be completely different? And yes please have pattern memory!Urs wrote:What we have in mind is a 101-ish step sequencer plus a 60-ish arpeggiator. Nothing too fancy, but gets the job done. Maybe with pattern memory.
I really hope you allow per step glide on the arp like in Zebra. It really amazes me how many synths leave that out. And don't forget swing!

I like the 101-ish step sequencer idea that would be great.Urs wrote:What we have in mind is a 101-ish step sequencer plus a 60-ish arpeggiator. Nothing too fancy, but gets the job done. Maybe with pattern memory.
