Hello! New to Mdrummer and new to these forums, thank you for having me.
I've had Mdrummer all of one day and i have fallen in love with it already!
So far, i understand all the basics, however, i'd like to get much better at generating rhyhtms faster. programming them into the sequencer within Mdrummer seems like im kind of missing the point of the Generator
Specifically, what is your preferred method for generating complex rhythms with humanized Probability slider settings (without using the midi commands or manually programming the Mdrummer Sequencer)? If that's even possible...
Also: I have viewed all the basic video tutorials that Melda Productions has put on youtube, do you have a written manual or more advanced videos in other places?
Thanks again for a great product!

Thank you! I'm glad you have find it out
. Anyway with MDrummer you have to use MIDI commands or the sequencer, obviously, MDrummer needs to know what you want him to play
. But then any rhythm can adapt to the arrangement

Thanks vojtech! Last night I got deep into it and discovering the sonic possibilities. One of which i didn't expect...aside from attaining very realistic sounds and patterns, I am realizing this is a perfect tool for creating electronic rhythm loops and percussion samples by mangling the sound with the effects provided. Very impressive because, siimilar to the effects bundles Melda has created, they are both scientific and creatively powerful. For instance...A step sequencer and manual wave shape editor in the ring modulator? Brilliant!
One thing I am having difficulty understanding though is the channel assignments. I do understand how to trigger the patterns I've generated, both live and sequenced, however, I don't understand what channel assignments do, or how to use them effectively,
For example, after I process everything to generate patterns,, only sounds assigned to channel 1 will play (typically kick/snare/toms are auto-assigned to channel 1). Cymbals and other sounds in a drum set will then be heard if I assign then to that same channel 1, but I'm not sure that is the right way to perform the task. Should I be keeping the default channel assignments in 'mixer' section in separate assignments, for example cymbals on channel 2 by default, etc...and If this is correct, how do I still hear them in the same rhythm pattern? I guess I am not understanding if the term 'channel' here applies to midi channel, pattern, or actual mixer channel.
Anyway so thankful for this amazing product, cheers!

Thank you!
About the channels - these are not MIDI channels. MIDI channels are used in a simple way:
ch 1 - 9 => rhythms 1 - 9
ch 10 => standard GM MIDI input, thus if you want to play notes
Drum channels however specify the AUDIO output channel for the drum. If you use MDrummer1out, there's not really much to solve as it has only one output. But if you use MDrummer16out for example, it has 16 outputs, so you can route each drum to a specific output bus. The trouble is, that most hosts enable only one output by default, so if you route a drum to some other output, it will just be ignored. So you have to find a way to enable additional outputs in your host (e.g. in Cubase there is a little "+" next to the virtual instrument, where you can enable all of the outputs you want to use).

Ah okay, great this makes total sense, thanks!
Now i see why when i have sounds on other channels, they will not play, even though i can see their meters jumping in Mdrummer. I am using with ableton 7 and will attempt to configure for multiple outs.
Thanks so much, cheers!
