Having recently switched to Studio One, I haven't been able to get SynthMaster (latest version) to play happily with it. Firstly, on selecting synthmaster parts, Studio One would sporadically crash, giving the following cause:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: Studio One.exe
Application Version: 2.0.6.18491
Application Timestamp: 4fcebc6c
Fault Module Name: SynthMaster2.dll

I decided to persevere and used an instance of synthmaster for a bass part. On playing back the track, as soon as it tried to play the synthmaster bass part, the synthmaster channel level jarred at 0dB and all that could be heard was what sounded like a loud, distorted reverb.

Anyhow, I have decided to throw in the towel as far as SynthMaster is concerned. I have no confidence that this vst is compatible with Studio One and have lost work as a result of it.

What is the chance of getting a refund? Alternatively, I understand license transfers are allowed at a cost of $15, but don't know how to go about this. I have emailed via the synthmaster site reporting the crash and enquiring about license transfers, but have heard nothing back.

1. Did you try the demo first before purchasing?
2. Are you running S1 as administrator?

We have many S1 users here and none are experiencing this issue.

Could you please try deleting the SynthMaster folder under

Program Files\VstPlugIns\KV331 audio

reinstall, and try again by running as "Administrator" ?

That should help.

To answer your questions:

1. Yes, I did try it, but was using Reaper then and had no problems.

2. I have tried completely removing synthmaster from my machine, re-installing and running S1 as administrator. The problem persists.

>> Well, maybe S1 isn't the issue, but it's only started since I switched from reaper. Not sure it's relevant, but the parts that cause the problem are midi parts exported from reaper and imported into S1. Also, I'm on win7 64 bit.

Send me the midi file (Crash) and i will test it with my Version of S1V2 and SM.

Thanks for the offer, but all that will prove is if the midi file is or isn't the cause, and with all due respect, I don't really want to send my half-finished works around.

As far as I'm concerned, sm is producing unpredictable behaviour on my system and I no longer intend to use it.

Where do I need to send the $15 for the transfer?
