Ok, it was some type of digital sounding distortion, thought it was aliasing.
Sorry for that. I'll give it another try soon...

UPDATE:
Patrick fixed the Arp/ sustain pedal response issue I (personally had) noted earlier in the string.

SOLVED!
In the latest update (1.61)

I've noticed a bug where when you switch into fingered portamento (mode 1) nothing happens until you switch to mode 2 and then back. Anyone else verify this?

Wow, but this doesn't seem like accurate emulation, not only the quirks, but mainly raw waveform has totaly different tonality ... ? From these recordings the UNO comes out really very thin in contrast to real Juno :(

... and comparison audio files on TAL web sit were so close , why such difference now ? ...

simply they are no playing back the same patch, not the same settings.
there is no "raw" waveform on display .

the juno60 starts with a saw and subpulse with cut off about 60% and resonance abou 50%.
i matched the opening tone closer to that juno 60 example with the unolx in 2 seconds.

and if u fine tune it a lil more u'll most likely get it exact sounding.

i guess fernando just wanted to show that they boht have that quicky behaviour in the filter and not do and A/B match soundwise.

thanks for doing that Fernando, it shows this quirk of the J-60 resonance pretty well. it's almost more "ugly" on the real thing. :hihi:

i almost wish he had left that little 'emulation' out. :D

either way, U-NO-LX is a great sounding synth, and a steal for the intro price of $35. it'd be nice if he did something about the cosmetic issues though.

Holy sh*t, that is 1:1. That's it. Thank you for proving.
Great

You don't have to forget that no analog synthesizer is exactly the same. Especially not with synthesizers that are almost 30 years old (and not serviced every year :D)

I am guessing that it is not moddeled after one but maybe a few juno-60's. But certainly not modelled after yours.

FYI for anyone using automap style MIDI control -
Host notifies automation parameters and preset name while changing presets. (Version 1.60).
I only got 15 minutes this morning to test, but first impressions are it works perfectly now, in Live 8 anyway 8) ! The relatively simple architecture make it so easy to completely program this synth without too much paging around controller menus, it really lends itself well to that. Love it!

Gotta say I love the arp on this thing - EXT16 mode is brilliant but does make me wish there were more options than just up, down etc. I know, I know, it's an emulation, it just does what it does. But if there ever is a souped up version....

Thanks olikana. I guess I have to be more careful in the future. I was just concerned with showing the quirkiness in the resonance. Next time I do A/B examples, I'll have precisely the same patch previously on both. But now that it's established, I think we can move on appreciating the great sound U-No-LX can do :)
