I think UHE should hire Andrew simper and they would rule the universe of next-gen plugin development.

Btw I've been running DIVA through the ValhallaDSP stuff and Im getting Bladerunner style stuff which is just mind boggling

Pretty certain they already do, as is.

Well, it seems to me that Cytomic is doing really, really great.

However, here's a little taste of what it would be like. These photos were taken when Andy and u-he did some hands-on technology transfer earlier this year

Here's Andy with his provisionary "desk":

In return Andy got to measure our Obies, Junos, Jupiters, Minimoog and MS20s.

So yeah, even with Cytomic half way round the globe, we're good friends and we share a lot of know how.

:)

That's amazing!

That's awesome!
I love music but more than that, I love making it

It was loads of fun visiting Urs and the U-HE gang in Berlin. I was awesome fun chatting, going out to dinner, exchanging ideas, and of course playing with all the synths. Which reminds me Urs, I need to post you the dvd of all the recordings I made and the transfer function measurement text files :)

Anyway, don't fear V0RT3X, Cytomic is doing just fine!

Hehe, nice.. Can you help Andrew to come closer to a release of The Drop filter :P

I think we did... part of his visit was the evaluation of some filter models ;)

Great pic postprocessing.

Andy for some weird reason i was under impression that you are some young geekie looking guy. Don't get me wrong yo certainly don't look old (top body shape we can see) but i wasn't expecting white hairs 8)

Call me crazy but it gives me warm feeling only by seeing these DSP wizards connect and share their resources.

Another move which is making me more calm with these companies.

Cool stuff guys..

Indeed. The trip to London before hand to buy an MS20 rev2 and a Moog Prodigy, followed by visiting Urs in Berlin have both made the sound of The Drop much better. Prior to that I was sorting out the maths framework before hand to tackle things, but until I had circuits to compare against I was flying blind. There was also an annoying bug the Clements helped me track down in my model, thanks Clements! Hopefully the asymmetric transfer functions I gave you in return have been of some use :)

I've had some grey hairs coming through when I was in my 20s, and I'm now 40 :)

DSP is one of those things that I think exchanging ideas is really important. The idea behind the algorithm is one thing, but implementing it is quite another, there are so many details to sort out and tradeoffs and decisions to be made along the way that people always come up with something different anyway. Clements, Urs and I have had some excellent exchanges, and I hope there will be more.
