It seems that some Cakewalk MFX plugins will work in Cubase SX. But I am specifically considering buying the NTONYX MFX Kit 2 plugins and if they, in particular, don't work in Cubase SX 2 then I am kind of stuck since, though I have an older version of Cake Pro Audio, I don't use it nor do I plan to upgrade to Sonar at the moment.
