That's ridiculous.osiris wrote:My grandfather keeps asking me to drive him to the Itunes Store....
He knows you don't have a car.
On my machine, I was transitioning all my projects to 64-bit (those that didn't use 32-bit only plugs). The goal was to load 64-bit Sonar more often than 32-bit Sonar. I reject the bit bridge.hibidy wrote:Being back on the 32 bit system temporarily is a bit of a drag. Maybe today I'll stop being lazy about the clean install

No no no, you're just wrong. People have made music on 32 bit systems for a long timeP.T. wrote:Try running Hollywood Strings or any other major orchestral library on a 32 bit machine with 4gb of RAM.

So? I mean, you don't expect someone to actually USE something like that......do you? Well..........do you?????Kaboom75 wrote:People have made music with less than 3.5 gb ram for a long time but back then sampled instruments were smaller less detail. Wow, you really have no idea what you are talking about. You obviously don't use any large sample libraries. Try loading up a large VSL orchestral palette (with all the samples streaming from disc) and you will quickly realize that a 32-bit host just isn't going to cut it, no matter how well "optimized" the system is (whatever that means).ttoz,
Then why do I not have ANY problems - and I can run 20 or more virtual instruments on a project with effects on many channels AND another 10 or more audio tracks, etc. etc. No problems.
I have 8GB of ram, but all of my plugins are 32 bit and the DAW is 32 bit.
Sorry. I don't agree. A properly working and optimized system with proper hardware is all you need.

I suppose it is like having an 8 inch **** and complaining that there are no
8 inch ****** to put it in.
Here hare, hear her.
Mine is too big already. I mean my RAM.
Ooh that did not sound right either.
No one needs it. I am 32 bit for ever.
It's 64-bit in the bus anyway. What more could a girl (I mean MAN) ask for?
Here hare, hair here.
Very intelligent question btw.
chairs.
I mean cheres. I think maybe chairs.
No good god, I meant Cheers.
Oh f**k it.
Hear hair.
People that want that kind of bandwidth have bandwidth envy if you ask me.
640Kb should be enough for any girl (I mean MAN) I mean hare, her,
I give up...
But all the best albums were MADE W/O x64......Gadget Fiend wrote:Wow, you really have no idea what you are talking about. You obviously don't use any large sample libraries. Once you are using a 64-bit host then all of your plug-ins need to be 64-bit as well. That's because EVERY single "bit-bridge" adapter, whether the native adapters in Cubase or Logic or a third-party solution like jBridge, crashes constantly.
It's mind boggling how someone can be so ignorant and annoyingly obstinate about it as well.
