Whats the Amplitube bass amps like with Trilian compared to the ones included in Trilian?

Post

Good suggestions. The mention of a company being coupled with whomever/whatever platform/etc really doesn't matter, we've always bought whatever amps we wanted to and modeled them anyway. Some favorites are not official models, and I know of an old amp that's in our amp room unmodeled will make it into AmpliTube.

Also, I'll say again that all of this "AmpliTube 4" talk isn't necessarily how it will go down. When we get beyond 3.9 I've already warned that there's the ability and distinct possibility of 3.10, 3.11, etc.

There may even be something in OP's post that is on the block already :)

Also, many here may not be registered, you say? The same username that you use for your IK User Area is valid for the IK forum (you just have to "connect" them which is pretty painless via the forum). Surely AmpliTube 3 Free and SampleTank Free (one of the top free plugins here, which is why I lobbied to get it back out there!) haven't gone unnoticed by quite a few KVRians? The freebies in both are really no slouch and the engines are full engines so it seems like a no-brainer...

Looks (and must sound) tasty indeed !

ta dah! the solid state one that comes with the free version of custom shop.
Really ? How is that even possible :D.

I'm not fond of it.

The one I love on everything is the Fender TBP-1 Bass Preamp. Followed by the Gallien-Krueger (MB 150 S) and Trace Elliot (Green BA250) amps.

Great to know !

By the way Peter, I need to ask you something.

It's about one of your song : "Sister Jones".

Now there's an obsure amp that would be cool to have modeled in a VST!
I hate the urban dictionary. Should be banned.

Oh (smartass hat on) you meant maybe obscure :hihi:

K-Slash - PM me your question, I'll answer best I can :)

I'm not against the free solid state model, but I do admit I like the TBP-1 more (which kind of makes sense with the tech improvements, even though there's not as much required for that sort of model, any sonic improvement is worthwhile and applicable).

Geee, I wonder which one (strokes goatee.......)

Well, I'm not quite sure how to answer that. I'd say not really good as I always slap something else on my basses from trilian (mark bass studio/ren bass/or maybe an ik sim :hihi: )

But, it's capable. I mean, there are tone shaping controls and a "sim" built in. But I prefer something with a bit more girth.

Hibidy, why would I joke about that? Really, that's not a joke at all. That's what I get for trying to be honest and transparent... Don't get your hopes up. The models will be great, but if there's no revamp to the rest of the infrastructure that would require a major-version update (which would mean cost to the end user too, as an aside) why would we do it?

btw, I echo the sentiment of using certain guitar amps for bass sometimes. There is nothing wrong with that idea. Now, whether or not you'll get a good sound from it......well...... :hihi:

True, but sometimes bad can be good :) I have a little Kustom guitar amp mini-stack that is a cool bass amp too but you have to accept that it will get pretty dirty pretty fast so it isn't versatile if you are going for a pristine sound. However it sounds good dirty.

Didn't Fender reissue this one as the Bassman 300 under their own brand? If so, then it already is in Amplitube.

After doing some research, in fact you're right.

My bad...
