Hello Vojtech,

I have been playing with the Rythmizer a lot recently and I think it's absolutely wicked, especially being able to switch patterns, with the various options for doing so. Now I'm thinking I really wish it was available as a mod source (in some form), in the global modulators, so I could modulate anything I wanted with it. This, IMO, would be modulation heaven, and would elevate MXXX into the stratosphere

Also, I think Rhythmizer needs to have the ability to change sync rates like LFO's.

Another thing: Would it be possible to implement multiparameter position swapping. I've created a couple of presets that use all 16 of them, but I would like to be able to reorder them quickly and easily. I'm thinking that having a 'swap' option in the multiparameter right click menu would be the way to go, but maybe you would have something better in mind, if you were to do this of course

I hope you can see the benefits these features would have on MXXX.

Cheers

Hey, so many requests, you are making my life really hard! :D :D

1) Rhythmizer - well, it would be nice of course, but it's not that simple. Main trouble - where to put it. Mods are already so powerful and complicated, adding this would be a heaven and nightmare at once. But I will think about it.

Though right now you can already use a little trick:
1) Use MRhythmizer and feed it with "1" (for example use Utility, set Volume to 0 to shut the input up, and then Add to 1)
2) After it put Rhythmizer and don't use the time sequences, but volume sequences. Obviously it will change the "1" to something else.
3) Either use it as sidechain for Filter for example, or let the Rhythmizer generate feedback and use it in a modulator ;).

2) Sync rate - true, that could be useful, will check it out.

3) You mean for GUI purposes, right? Well, yes, I didn't get to that yet  :)

:hihi: :hihi:
Yeah I know, you must be working your fingers to the bone, with smoke coming out of your ears. I am sorry, but I have to make these requests because MXXX is so tantalisingly close to being an absolute masterpiece, and I want it to be just that, for all our sakes. I have faith that you will deliver aswell, because you've done a stellar job so far. :D

1) That is a cool little trick with the Rhythmizer and feedback - works nicely. I'm definitely happy about that. I've been thinking a lot though about how you could integrate some sort of Rhythmizer into the Modulators. How about it being part of the 'Normal' tab? You could have the neccessary controls (overall depth, attack, release, triggering options etc) underneath the midi reset section. Put a button there aswell to open the pattern selector in a floating window. Each one of these patterns contains a shape configured using all the LFO controls, and can have it's own sync rate. Somewhere in the LFO window there would need to be an easy way of selecting which pattern to edit, so you don't have to open the floating pattern window to choose one.

If this is possible to implement and you did, you would have created something very special indeed. Like I say, if this is possible, I'm sure it would take a lot of hard work, (which I wish I could help with
:? ), but I believe it would be well worth the effort, which would be highly appreciated. Anyway, no pressure. If you decide against this for whatever reason, that's fine with me. You've implemented a lot of my requests already. :D

2) Thanks.

3) Yes for GUI purposes, thanks again.

Cheers

It makes sense to me, I just need to figure out how to do it. But I think it would be another modulator mode. We'll see.

And don't worry, I like the ideas ;). It's just that I was hoping to make the to-do list smaller and it's getting bigger instead :D. Very weird irony :D...

I'm very glad it makes sense to you :D :D :D

Well, you said the idea of MXXX was for it to be the ultimate effect capable of everything. If you get through that list it'll probably be able to do everything, and then some. But even so, I'm sure I'll be back with more ideas soon enough :) I can't help it, MXXX just gets my juices flowing.
