What is your often-used current host/VST/AU setup? Please read all options first, & vote on what you use NOW or plan to with in the next month (& have the cash to drop). I am not referring to 64bit double-float audio paths, by 64bit here I mean the OS side of things :)

Not really looking for debates here... this thread is good for debates/conversation on 64bit: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=357370

& Win vs OSX is too old of a conversation to bring up again.

& if you are not aware about jBridge: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=244999

I hope this survey will help devs (including myself & the KVR challengers) decide.
TIA

Sorry, forgot Reason, & I did upgrade it to 6.5 myself... Just reply below to cast your Reason vote please :)

If you are 50/50 x64 & 32bit, please vote x64.

One problem with not having an argument on KVR, is that you have to *bump* the thread more ;)

RATS?

I'm about 50/50 Win7x64 w/64-bit VST and PT/RTAS on Win7, but I voted the former since I've been using it longer.
Logic Pro | PolyBrute | MatrixBrute | MiniFreak | Prophet 6 | Trigon 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Polar TI2 | Blofeld | RYTMmk2 | Digitone | Syntakt | Digitakt | Integra-7

Almost a perfect poll. But without the reason option it does not allow devs to see how reason compares.

I would have chosen Reason 64 bit/RE's.

How about an option for both + hardware? That's how I roll!

Indeed! :hihi:

Hey re8 I voted 'Windows Pro Tools...' as it represents about 40% of my setup but on the other hand these two also apply a great deal to give a more accurate picture:

Win x32 host with VST plugs
Win x64 host & all/most 32bit VSTs (jBridge or via host bridge)

Dean :)

I did forget; I own Reason myself though I don't use it as much as Live. Sorry!
edit: I'll consider your post as a vote :)

No option for my two main useages:

Win x64 host & roughly equal mix of 32bit/64bit VSTs (jBridge or via host bridge)
or
Win x32 host & roughly equal mix of 32bit/64bit VSTs (jBridge or via host bridge)

win7x64 all x64 here.Just waiting for Microtonic,Synplant and Oddity to become 64bit then i'll be happy :)

Dang people, why do you have to be so complex & not fit in a box! ;)
Just vote x64/x64 please; this poll is to check how much x64 is being used in reality & not theorycraft. Though your flexibility is noted :D

Thanks for all the votes guys & gals!
I'm surprised by the % of people who converted to mostly+ x64 VSTs already; I would think it would take WIn8/a few more years to do so...
