Thanks, Ingo.
I have jus tbought PPG Wave, and your soundset, and also Rob lee's soundset.
Unfortunately, I can't find where I go to download them, and have had no serial no. or anything form Waldorf!
Does it usually take a while for this to happen?
I have emails saying the purcahse went through, etc., but no links for downloading

i am not sure if the responsible person works also at the weekend so maybe you have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday.

Thanks, Ingo. It's odd because Wolfram was there and replied earlier in the day.
Looking forward to hearing all your sounds, and Rob's.
I'll hopefully hear from Waldorf today or tomorrow.
I believe the PPG Wave will be used in my music at least as much as Reaktor, Absynth or the Arturias and Omnisphere. What an amazing, unique sound!
Cheers.

Hey thanks for mentioning my set, Ingo
.
Anyhow, PPG Wave friggin ROCKS! Lot's of really good new sound sculpting options in 3.V like importing samples with a lo-fi flavor, effects, etc, and much more authentic sounding than the old 2.V.

Indeed. At this years Musikmesse (where i was invited by Waldorf) i had the leassure to play a real PPG Wave 2.2 at the booth ofSynthesizer Magazin.Xenos wrote:and much more authentic sounding than the old 2.V.
PPG Wave 3.V sounds as authentic as you could get IMO (when used in 2.2 mode of course). When i mentioned this to Wolfram the answer was more or less "Did you expect anything else...".
Not really as the biggest PPG "gurus" like Wolfgang Palm, Hermann Seib and Till Kopper participated in the Beta test (and Wolfgang made some great new wavetables + presets).
Playing a real PPg was one of the greatest experiences in my life but after realizing how difficult and expensive it is to keep this monster working (and it's sure it will break sooner or later...) i thought it's good to have an awesome emulation of it.

It's a very cool synth indeed, and it was a great pleasure to have a PPG emulation (first 2.V and now 3.V), since it was a synth I lusted after as a teenager but missed out on owning (when I was finally in a position to get one, I was informed PPG had gone out of business, so I ended up with a Prophet VS instead).
I admit I do wish that Waldorf had deviated from a strict emu in one other area, by incorporating the 8-stage wave envelope from the Microwave series - it would provide considerably more detailed control over wave sweeps than what the straight PPG architecture offers.

Having trouble getting it, though!
I have paid for it, but they tell me there is a script problem, which means they can't send the serial number and the soundbanks I have bought at the moment.
Hmmm . . .

@ vicshere: Request noted
. I definitely will. Not sure when, but we'll have it eventually. It's been in the back of my mind for a while now.

Unfortunately, I am still waiting for the soundbank downloads and PPG Wave from Waldorf. Not very happy about this. I used to believe in German efficiency, but now I am beginning to wonder.
They took my money automatically, but the "automatic download", it seems, is not so automatic . . .

Sorry to hear that. I am sure there will be a solution soon.vicshere wrote:Unfortunately, I am still waiting for the soundbank downloads and PPG Wave from Waldorf. Not very happy about this. I used to believe in German efficiency, but now I am beginning to wonder.

Wolfram is usually not handling the Online Shop and the responsible persons (either Haibin Wu or Kurt "Lu" Wangard) are usually not working at the weekend.
If there is trouble with the server or something like that usually Stefan Stenzel (developer + CEO) is checking it.
Besides other stuff Stefan is currently working on finishing the hardware and software/firmware for the upcoming Pulse 2 analog synth.
I don't have much experience with using their Online Shop myself as the last plugin i purchased was Largo and that was a boxed version. Others like e.g. PPG Wave 3.V, Waldorf Edition and Lector i got for free as i was a Beta tester.

Thinking it's time to cancel and get Mastercard to get my money back. Shocking.
All this, for a small download! Surely it should be automatic, like buying sounds or even instruments from anyone else?
