Zebra Transmission Soundbank should be built in to Zebra- It would sell more Zebras!

I demoed Zebra a few times but never pulled the trigger- I have Omnisphere and Alchemy & Reactor and figured that covered the bases.

After buying Diva I revisited Zebra again demoing some of the new commercial soundbanks like 'Pads Heaven' and (actually based on that sound bank) bought Zebra....

Now, obviously, I am a sound bank addict and have been going through the extensive library- I stumbled on and bought the Transmission Soundbank - OK, I'm probably way late to the party and I'm sure everyone (else) knows how great this is...

My thoughts- stick 10 bucks or so on Zebra and include this bank and the templates- its pretty much almost essential Zebra food....

Another thought- put 10 or so of each commercial banks in the Zebra demo- good for UHE, as people hear just what Zebra is capable of, good for the sound producers....I'm not saying that the sounds built in to Zebra are bad, just that some of this later/other stuff is MUCH batter at showing what the synch is capable of, and this is particularly true with Transmission....

Interestingly Transmission was the first commercial bank for Zebra released (if I correctly recall) in 2007 for Zebra2 2.1. It was before the XMF filters, SB modules, new VCF models, Modmappers, and Howard's factory presets. :)

Transmission is a great bank. It was the first bank I bought, shortly after buying Z2 itself in late 2007. There were a couple of patches that actually helped inspire musical beds that turned into songs.

There are some very nice patches in the collection that came with Zebra back then too, before they were replaced by a more concise collection of Howard's excellent patches.

Its not just the bank, I love the templates for building patches- oscillator templates, Multistage envelope templates etc. even a PDF manual. It would be a great bundle with Zebra (Strange that UHE doesnt do 'bundels', most of the Devs do VST+ XX soundpack deals....

Too bad that skin was never updated to v2.5 :(

Zebra 2.1 - those were the days!

There should be a Zebra museum complete with screenshots and downloads of old versions!! Completely pointless I know but would be fun. Maybe. Kind of.... :help:

I'm glad to hear that SLiC !

I've never had a musical instrument before, such as inspiring, expressive and playable beast, like Zebra!

You just bought the greatest synth.

I think you'll love it just like me, check out some other soundbanks too,
it's so many things there to discover.

Cheers :)

+1 for shipping Zebra with additional soundbanks. I bought Zebra when "The Dark Zebra" came out recently and I was blown away by the sound. The only thing I was disappointed about was the relatively small Zebra factory soundbank. I'm missing a lot "bread & butter" sounds here...

There :hihi:

Many of them are high quality... There is the commercial sets area and the free area... look at both

Altogether, including all the commercial and free sets, there are like 8,000 Zebra presets. You can try presets from now until the end of the year! hehehehe

thanks, guys :) I was probably blind - there's even a link to it on the u-he website

There is indeed some great stuff in the free patch libary, and its lots of fun trying it all if you have the time. However, with Diva all the fantastic free community developed free stuff is built in to the download...why not Zebra, especialy the commertial soundbank 'demo' patches...just saves multiple downloads, unzips and installs...

I was actually wondering about the same! Bought Diva, too, and there were lots of presets directly built-in.
