Thank everybody!

Great minds think alikeA.M. Gold wrote:Dustin, I do have a feature request if this hasn't been made yet: my understanding is that one nice thing about dual panning is that you can set a stereo width, and then pan that width around while retaining it.
It would be great to have something like a "width lock" on your plug-in, so you can use the width mode to set the width, then lock it so you can now move both sliders at once, but you will be moving the two of them left and right together instead of in and out together. "Width pan" might be another way of naming it.
Haha that's what I get for working on a computer for 8 hours a day then going home and coding plugins on a netbook until I go to bedA.M. Gold wrote:Hey, sorry about the migraine. I get them too (luckily, only mildly painful, though). I usually take aspirin, Tylenol, and caffeine (which is what is in most of the OTC migraine pills in case you didn't know).
Hope you get to feeling better!
Hmm.. does this happen when moving the controls fast or slow or both? What about when you use width mode, solo, or adjust the pan law? Also, which DAW are you using and have you noticed this with my MonoChannel and StereoChannel plugins?miedex wrote:Some movement of the controls results in a light crackling sound artifact. I think I have some pretty good ideas on how to implement locked panning (including letting the user choose the step size.) It's all in my head right now though. I haven't tested anything yet.Compyfox wrote:@Dustin:
Looking forward to the feature implementations. Currently I'm set with Cubase's internal panning matrix. I just with they would make a "lock" function. I really like the idea and simplicity behind a "locked" stereo position. I mean... usually I don't pan out rhythm guitars futher than 35-40 off center, and pads to 60-80 off center maximum. It's almost always the same values for me. Boring, I know, but effective.
Thank you! I do my best to create a good workflow that I think will fit most users.hibidy wrote:Fantastic job btw, your stuff is very well thought out.
Windows XP sp3 32bit, AudioMulch 2.2.1. It happens less in width mode. It happens the most when I move it fast with the mouse but I can still hear it when I move it slow. I just checked and it seems like there are no artifacts heard with host automation, just mouse movement.d.bop wrote:Hmm.. does this happen when moving the controls fast or slow or both? More information would be GREAT! Once we narrow it down, I can fix it right away.
