What's your host/daw?
What's your computer? I'm guessing mac.
What's your os version?
Did you look into the VST/AU folders to see if it's physically in there?
Check to make sure your daw, doesn't have a "re-scan plugins folder" option.
If so...use it.

HI Mr. Mcnoone. Host Logic 8, OS 10.5.8 Mac G5 and yes there is a zebra vst in the audio presets folder. Ran AU manager and everything passed. Zebra does not show in the au manager at all. Next suggestion please thank you.

Try right-clicking-or-"command-clicking" on the AU file.
Select "show-info"
Select "permissions"
Change all of those to "read&write"
Below that select.
"Apply to enclosed items".
(if for some reason the last step is not available, please choose show package contents as the first step, then select permissions)
Maybe it's a permissions problem.

If that doesn't work, then throw out the Zebra au/vst files and try re-installing.
If it's possible, see if it shows up in Garageband, if you have that, or you can download this demo version of Reaper daw, and see if it shows in that.
http://www.reaper.fm/
or any other daw you might have available.

Hi there,

I think the problem is we might have forgotten to include a PowerPC build

I'm on vacation till late September, but we can try to do a compile for PowerPC then. We can't test it anymore though...

Thank you Urs, thought I might have been losing my marbles. Duh!

How's that build coming along? :)

Oh... need to check with Clemens... I think there's a problem with SSE optimisation that doesn't have an equivalent on PowerPC. Which is why we couldn't do a Diva for PPC...

Hmmm...

Ok, I managed to do a PowerPC build of 2.5.4, but we have no PPC computer with Leopard to test it with.

http://www.u-he.com/downloads/Zebra/Zeb ... nt.PPC.zip

Note that we can not build for Tiger at all. Leopard (MacOS X 10.5) is the minimum requirement.

This is a debug build - I'll happily provide an optimised build if this runs.

Cheers,

;) Urs

P.S.: Hope to find the Leopard install DVD at home, then we can possible try it on our old G4 Mac mini.

Just tried it on my PPC mini running 10.5. It sounds great but the GUI is just a blank screen. When right-clicked there are options for editing the GUI such as root, grid, grid spacing, cloning and back to edit. I can get the grid to come up but nothing else.

Gosh... I forgot... you might have to run the normal 2.5.4 intaller first...

But that's quite promising... :)
