Hi Clydewinder...With your help, got it sorted out.
I was trying the input highlighted on channel 1 with the organ plug in slot A ... no luck...
tried input highlighted on channel 2 with no plug in any slot...no luck....
Finally input of channel 2 highlighted with an FX plug in slot A ....it works!!...
So input must be used on a channel with a FX plug in slot A...not an instrument plug......Be nice if the manual said this!!.....
Thanks for your help

Well, I've got Audio Realism Drum Machine (ADM) and trying to get it work with the V-machine, which I have failed with.

I get the V-machien to load ADM but I have no sound from ADM!?
How do I get the ADM work?
I have other plugs which work, but when it comes to drum machine emulators II simply can not get them to work!?

I have found the solution myself.
What is to be done is to create separate presets for separate audio because ADM sound patches are not automatically loaded

Well, I have tried and tried but I can't get the ADM to function in V-machine

I get ADM to work in VFX software but not in the V-machine. I also get other drum machine plugs work in VFX, but not in the V-machine.

Does anyone have any suggestions on any drum machine that works in the V-Machine?
I'm curious about the D-909 from Superwave, their P80 works very well so I think it should work
Is there anyone who has tried any more of Superwave plugs and know if they work in the V-Machine :?:

Is there anyone who uses MiageLine's Drumaxx :?:

Drumaxx is listed on the plugs that will work on V-Machine, but it's also ADM that I did not get to work :(

slightly late reply, but you misunderstood. KLC used to come with a hardware controller, surely you've seen it - a cute 3/4 replica of MS20 which is a USB controller. This is it here:

I have one sitting on my shelf looking pretty, but doing nothing. I don't use software these days, only hardware so it would be nice if I could integrate the KLC controller into the hardware setup somehow. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but the blurb on the v-machine website does say almost any controller can be attached via USB. Surely someone has tried it? Ifany of you have a KLC controller and a v-machine i'd be ever so grateful if you could try it out for me and report back

thanks

From what I have heard only controllers that use the standard Microsoft midi-driver works with V-machine USB port. So if your controller is plug and play it will work. If it needs special midi-drivers to work I think it will not work.

All the best

i think its called class compliant? or something close...meaning no special drivers, which you wouldnt be able to install on v-machine anyways.

i got a nanokontrol to work very nicely with it, but im using 2 v-machines to do 4 channels of auto-tune live(actually gsnap which seems to work better on live stuff anyways) and it finally turned out i dont have spare time onstage to adjust anything anyways while playing and mixing so i just set them to presets and let them be and i leave the nanokontrol at home.

thanks Tony, it seems you're right. I had another look on the website and saw the "class compliant" phrase in the description. Originally I thought perhaps the driver could be installed somehow, after all the V-Machine is a computer, just in a different form. So it seems I would need to buy another controller as well as the V-Machine, which ends up being too expensive to justify. I'll stick with the laptop for now.

Regarding controller you might have a look at Behringer BCR2000 which runs perfectly together with the V-Machine. No drivers needed, you just can connect it by USB and it works. The great thing is you also can use it with MIDI feedback then so that parameters keep track after changing presets which is fantastic. MIDI feedback can be activated in the MIDI settings of the V-Machine menu.

Here's an example using the VM Bundle in MIDI feedback mode:

The BCR2000 just costs around $150, e.g. at amazon:

If it would be stolen I'd get another one immediatly. It really offers an unbelievable number of controls and possibilities for that small price.

No official support anymore? Is the V-Machine finally dead now?

That forum isn't run by SM Pro Audio.

So why does it read "Official SM Pro Audio V-Machine Forum"? Is there another one?
