Hey guys, I am working on a new bank for U-he Zebra and see its full potential....As I have been exploring Osc's/VCA's/Lfo's And what not in Zebra I decided to give a demobank a go ..... Checked out your presets...you're off to a good start. There's definitely that "techno/rave" vibe to the whole set which is cool because it's focused and direct if that's what you're looking for. I'm working on an ambient project right now so I'd have a tough time fitting them in...but they are all fun to play. Especially "King of raves!" while holding down one key with your left and and playing lead with the right. Fun. I'd like to see some more texture/pad stuff in there in the full version so it can work for more genres.

Cheers guys, love the possitive feedback, Yes, I have presets scattered around, I will produce a solid bank of sounds, I just keep on tweaking them, till I can't get more out of them and Im glad you Like the King of raves! preset, Its based on that 90's sound and used sample Oscs for these and Filters Etc, I will create some basses, some more leads once the project is finished (it will take some own manhours, It would be a major success for Zebra, What do you think Urs would think guys?

Hey Guys Just a quick update, I think Messed up the envs for the Korgy Orgy preset, ive ajusted osc layer/volume best I can, I have compared it for a Korg M1 Perc Organ 2 Patch, And I must admit, faily close!, I have also added a Vengaboys Driven preset called Vengatoys, A synth sound that I made a few years back, and decided to make this, the bank once done will provide you guys with a great overall pallete of sounds, I will be Working on allot of Prodigy based sync sounds/ Piano sounds later on (for them plinky plonky Pianos) and a few FX this is going to be a year or so worth of my time and effort, so am working as hard as I can to try give you guys A great FIRST soundset that youll be proud to load upto Zebra Everytime!

cheers fritz...did you also know my outerspace track is all zebra in fact....17 instances of it its very ambient sounding most defonatly...but yeah it was only slighty eqed through cubase...should post it as a demo on u-he zebra page as im an official zebra freak and lover haha

Thank you for the patches! I am now using "BI - Do Stop Moving" in a song. I like the "BI - Ibiza with an attitude" in the Arp/Seq mode (plus a few tweaks I made). I am also digging this "BI - Lead or a Bass, Ace" for bass synth.

Glad you like the patches aaron aardvark, Do stop movin is the synth sound created from Livin' Joy's kinda stuff, some of the patches are verious 90's synth sounds... and havent seen patches around for this kinda stuff (michael kastrup does a great bank called Hybrids! with these type of sounds aswell) I think overall, everything once done and happy with the sounds, They will eventually become a bank, I might do 64 Famous Sounds or 128, so you like my sound design techniques? I've done music for at least 20 years now and learnt a lot about various synth techniques at college, so It does come In handy, you gotta know what your doing when it comes to sounds, and how you think they sound, I havent done anything yet for a day or so regarding creating a patch creation in Zebra, but im waiting for the right moment to focus once again , cheers for the possitive feedback!.....and guys if you can post any ideas for a creation of a sound, please place it here

just extract these files into the same Zebra folder as the readme file states, delete Korgy Orgy.h2p and replace with the BI - Korgy Orgy(New) preset and place the Vengatoys.h2p in the same folder, refresh folder and enjoy ....SORRY ABOUT THE ZIPPYSHARE LINKS...YOU SHALL HAVE TO COPY AND PASTE LINKS INTO A NEW TAB/WINDOW....Sorry guys

It would be great if you could get the synth sounds from this song ("Situation", by the Yaz), especially the first 20 seconds (well even 40 seconds!) (bass synth & lead synth):



I know a lot of Sequential Circuits Pro One was used on this, and I have owned a Pro-One since 1981, but I have never gotten such full sounds with it. I figure it must be partially from effects like delay. I am decent at tweaking existing patches on Zebra, but coming up with a sound completely from scratch, I don't have the patience or the know how on Zebra. What college did you go to to learn synth techniques? I am a Mechanical Engineering major, but they didn't have any synth classes at my college (I graduated in 1983).

Hey there aaron aardvark, in answer to your question, I did keyboard lessons during the 90's and went to the yamaha school of music aswell, These days I tend to play by ear, as I have an ear for sounds and am one of these pitch perfect guys (a bit hard to explain) and yes, I shall give some sounds like that a go, Zebra should be able to do some sequential circuit type of sounds aswell ...and a few years ago, I just used to tweak presets, But now having gone to college and also done 3 year course of music there, learning different stuff has come to me and now I have to put it into practice, if that makes sence?

edit: I went to college in the uk, and started of with some cheap casio 32 mini key keyboard that was early 91? haha
