BTW i have added the link and the instructions to the OP too (like most other important informations) so it's easier to find.

I'd like to download your demo sounds, but be warned - I'm not into dance or club music. ;-)

However, the RapidShare link gives me an error - "Download parameters invalid - please try again later."

?

Best,

Joachim
Hi Joachim,

if you are into dance music maybe you should get the full version as there are e.g. samples from the Virus TI and corresponding presets included. I also made a few multi programs based on 8 chromatic samples of the Virus.…
About the link:
I could not see any problems here. I tried with Safari for Windows and Internet Explorer. Maybe your Antivirus software blocks the download? Personally i am using Kaspersky internet Security 2011 without problems.

You could send me a PM with your email address so i could try to send the ZIP files as an attachment. The size is around 11 MB.

Hi Ingo,

Many thanks for fast reply!

Er… I wrote that I'm not into dance music, though… ;-)

Anyway, I finally got your RapidShare link working and am downloading now.

As the former Governor of California said in an earlier career: I'll be back!

Joachim

Oops, sorry i must have misunderstood that. Anyway those who are into dance music know that there is also something for them now based on e.g. samples from the Virus TI...
I'll also correct my wrong answer from that post.

BTW i had realized that the first link i posted today contained a bank file with 11 presets where the last one misses the correct sample. This was because i have switched one of the presets with different one. I have updated the link in my post and in the OP with the correct version.

Wow, that was fast. Many thanks for your purchase. I hope you will have lot's of fun with the soundbank. :)

Remember that there is an extra link for the samples in the email you get from Waldorf. The first two customers who contacted me here at KVR overlooked that link.

To make it easier i decided to post the download link for the 10 free presets directly now:
https://rapidshare.com/files/1856168482 ... Bank_1.zip

Installation:
Please copy the folder included in the zip file into the „ Local Libray " or „User Library " of the PPG Wave 3.V Plugin. Normally the "Local Library" could be found inside the installation folder of the plugin like e.g. "\vstplugins\Waldorf\PPGWave3.V Sounds".

Of course i would be pleased to here some comments here, also from customers of the full soundbank.

---------------------------------------------------------

Those who do not own the Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V plugin so far could check the presets using an evaluation license:
http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/ppg-3-evaluation.html
This license could be used either as an soft eLicenser on your HD drive or with an USB dongle (eLicenser).

The download of the latest version v1.02 is available here:
http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/version-102.html

Th full version could be purchased at the Online Shop . An upgrade from the Waldorf Edition is available too:

Ingo
Hi everybody,

i would like to hear some more comments about either the 10 free presets (link above) or the full soundbank.
Feel free to share your thoughts here or send me a PM if you don't want to share your comments in the public.

Best wishes,

Hi,

there were not many downloads for the free presets so far and i would still be pleased about some comments about those presets or the demos (of course also from customers of the full version).

Hi Ingonator,
I downloaded and enjoyed the free set, but now I have purchased the full set and it is fantastic.
I am working on my own instrumental stuff, but also doing some covers of music from eras I haven't covered much before, things like Magazine's Secondhand Daylight album, some Massive Attack maybe, and going through old albums I have had for many years, just seeing what I could cover in a new way.
My plan is to use Omnisphere, Reaktor, Ivory Grand and real guitars.
For all the string/pad sounds, I will be using PPG Wave and especially your soundbanks.
They have a quality in the sound itself, that I have been hunting for but wasn't able to get anywhere else, even at much more expensive places.
By the way, the Linn Drum sounds in PPG Wave are excellent, too, and they really thump and cut through.
Ingonator's pads will be the bed to build all the other things on top of, and I love the way his sounds don't just sit still, boring, but move and morph very gradually.
Brilliant stuff, Ingonator!
PT10, SonicCouture, PSP, FabFilter Pro-L, Kontakt5, HollowSun, Cinematique, VSL, Celemony, Absynth5, Battery3, EWQL, IvoryGrand, Arturia, B4II, Omnisphere, Martin D28, Gibson LP, Fender P, Roland XP10, Reaktor5, HideawayStudio, Waldorf PPGW.

Hi Craig,

many thanks for purchasing the soundset and for your kind comments .

I loved wavetable synthesis since i had a Waldorf Q keyboard back in 2004 (sold in 2005), later Microwave XT (sold in 2006), Virus TI desktop (want to sell soon), Largo, Blofeld and finally the PPG Wave 3.V. PPG Wave 3.V is an awesome synth which precisely recreates the most famous wavetable synth of all times.

Doing the Beta testing and factory sound for PPG Wav 3.V was a great experience, especially as Wolfgang Palm himself (the inventor of the PPG synths and the wavetable scanning synthesis) participated himself. He created a bunch of new wavetables and factory presets. Besides that it was a joy to exchange emails with him as he is a very nice person.
Hermann Seib, one of the biggest PPG "gurus" participated too and i had the pleasure to meet him (and several other Waldorf guys) at last years Musikmesse.

If you don't know Hermann's website:
http://www.hermannseib.com/english/default.htm
PPG Wave 2.2/2.3 and other PPg stuff:
http://www.hermannseib.com/english/synths/ppg/wave.htm
PPG emulation:
http://www.hermannseib.com/english/synt ... avesim.htm

His PPG emulation is nice but very tedious to work with, especially as it uses the interface of the hardware synth. There is also no "total recall" of the knobs if you load a preset.

About my soundset:
This is focused on new features of the PPG Wave 3.V like sample import and the new wavetables. lot's of work was invested in creating the samples including use of the Waldorf Lector Vocoder for which i was involved in Beta testing too.
Some of the samples were also processed using the Waldorf D-Pole filter plugin (included with the Waldorf Edition).
In the old version PPG Wave 2.V there was no sample import, a limited set of wavetables, no FXs and no browser. Besides that the filter, the envelopes and the aliasing were not as authentic (in comparison to the real synth) as in the new version.
Actually this seems to be the first synth that uses a bigger amount of CPU to emulate the aliasing of the original synth. Most modern synths try to avoid aliasing with all methods which are possible (e.g. oversampling).

Best wishes,
Ingo

Here is a new audio demo created by KVR member vicshere, again many thanks for this:

"First try with some PPG Wave and Ingo Weidner soundset, Atmospheric Transients.
With a little bit of SC Novachord, EP73, Broken Wurli. Drums from Simmons transients in PPG Wave.
Also trial of PSP Echo. Everything through PSP Old Timer. Twice.

I've been holding out on upgrading to PPG 3 (hoping they would add some more waveterm functionality and go 64bit) but I could resist no longer and bought it. Bought Atmospheric Transients as well as it is superb. IMO this and Ambiodrone are far and away the best soundsets for PPG 3 - both are must-haves.

Hi,

thank you very much for your purchase of my atmospheric Transients bank and your kind words.
The PPG Wave 3.V is an amazing synth indeed and with the sample import it could do some things which were not possible with PPG 2.V.

I think your soundset really shows off the new functionality in 3.V and I definitely hope you do some more in the future.

I agree with you as i focused totally on new features like the sample import and the new wavetables from Wolfgang Palm. I think that with that bank you got a lot of stuff that usually would be very difficult or impossible with pure wavetable synthesis. Examples are the Hypersaw, FM synthesis or Vocoder presets/samples.
Besides the work on the presets themselves a lot of work was invested in creating the samples and the synth presets used for those samples. A few of the Single cycle waves from DNR Collaborative were the only ones that i did not create myself.
Some really cool results were done using the Waldorf Lector Vocoder (for which i was involved with Beta testing like with the PPG Wave 3.V) with two different synths as Carrier and Modulator. In one case one of my own presets for the Blofeld hardware synth was used as a modulator.
I also had lots of fun doing some samples based on presets i created with WayOutWare TimwARP 2600, especially with those that involved FM synthesis.
A few FM based samples were also done with a "real" FM synth like NI FM8.
