ACE keeps have the volume turn down in Reaper

Every time I use ACE in Reaper and stop and start the Transport/Playback... ACE gets reset to no Volume on the main Output. What gives? Even new instances.

Highly likely that's an accidental midi-learn. Right click the main volume knob and select "midi unlearn".

Decrease the volume of ACE's track. It can peak pretty bad, which will send Reaper into auto-protection mode after the master bus is shooting over +12 dB (by default).
