Haha, true.

Just that there's some grey area with automation features of various daws having certain advantages, and if there are certain automation features that should not be allowed. Haven't seen this brought up before. Would still like an official word on whether note expression is allowed in this or future contests.

this is why i have alway voted to only focus on what can be made with the synth in question...seriously, i'd have it that you can only use the synth and the contained effects...one multi-platform eq, compressor and that's it...everything else is surplus and pulls focus away from the synth in question

I'd vote yes on this. My DAWs (Sonar and Reaper) don't have this feature, but one can split the chord into multiple synth instances and control the notes individually, so the same effect can be achieved with a little more extra work. I imagine this is true with all the modern DAWs.

I'd be curious to hear how you are going to use it.

On the end of the page there is a table. According this, a DR of 8 and above is OK for electronic music with heavy rythm. More soft tracks should have 10 or more I think.

Glad to hear you can do the same thing in other DAWs with a bit more effort, makes me think there shouldn't be a problem with it.

Very cool to play a long chord or octaves and then go into note expression and individually alter each note with different filter, panning, volume, and other modulation changes. Adds a lot of depth and movement. I feel like I'm just scratching the surface, but am excited to play with it more.

Yes, It is the latest version. But strange things goin on. E-license Center tolded me that I have only 18h (counting down) for non movable applications. In another line it tells me that Retrologue is valid till 30th of Sept.

I hope, the second line is true. But when I start Retrologue in Cubase I get the message a bout the left hours

I uninstalled and installed it again to see, if I did anything wrong the first time. Unfortunately not. I got the same, but now without any presets Now I can do all sounds from scratch, what I allready started.

Till yesterday I liked Steinberg!

This is very helpful. Thank you. I wish I had seen it before uploading my Dune track. Mine was showing 13 then I tinkered around thinking that higher values may not be good. At the end it came down to 11.

Oh yes, I love Retrologue, I just started working on a new song for this month's OSC and this synth is fantastic... well even has drums as well, so i don't have to program drums... (not my strong point )

It should be good, looking forward to see what everybody comes up with
