Hah! I tried the same 'change extension' trick and dropped it in all different places (application support, user, and computer library) to no avail.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:i have the same problem...i even went to the directory and renamed the extensions to that of the factory presets, but still no dicejasinski wrote:Has anyone been able to successfully save a preset and then load a user preset? It doesn't seem to work on OSX. I get a weird error when trying to save the preset about how the file type extension doesn't match what it actually is and then I can't see anything in the 'user' folder in the preset browser.
Kind of a buggy beast this Retrologue. Sounds well enough though.
i have managed to work around it by saving the presets as 'channel strips' in logic.....don't know what daw you are using
I'm running Ableton Live 8. I can just save the patches as AU presets but I'd love to share some with anyone who wants them if I could.

I have no idea what's happening there, I never had any problems with Soundcloud.
I'm still in the preset making phase but I'm slowly getting some good ones together
I'm really starting to like this synth!
Cheers

Nice but don't forget to do the write-up about what DAW/FX etc you used. (also put it together with the SoundCloud songs if you want so people can check it while listening)
Also include the DR number if you feel like it, it's a new thing we're trying from this competition on:
From the rules:
"Additionally, as part of the movement against the 'loudness war', it is now also recommended, but not mandatory, to include your song's 'dynamic range' (DR) number in the song info as well. The number is gotten using the TT Dynamic Range Meter. (Mac version here) Run the DR-Offline.exe and load your song audio file to see the DR number."

Song: Gylstorff - "Less is more"
Decided that I wanted to join the competition.
Loved the Retrologue - It took me seconds to figure out how it works and everything is available without having to browse through a lot of tabs and submenus.
Instrumental music is not what I do most, so I decided to keep the song short.
My host is Zynewave Podium and the project contains 17 instances of Retrologue.
Plugins used:
- Reaper EQ
- Reaper Compressor
- Ambience Reverb
No presets were used.
Enjoy...

Can't seem to get the download server to respond for the Mac version, but I'll keep trying.
Sorry to miss such a GREAT competition last month. I have a bunch of stubs, but got busy working on the new studio and haven't gotten to finish a thing....just kept making snippets of ideas. It'll probably come together as a space opera.
Looking forward to this one.
