I'm trying to demo Mux but every time I load the plugin in Sonar 8.5, Sonar's audio engine shuts down entirely and won't come back on. Tested in Reaper, and Mux works fine so I think this is something with Mux and Sonar.
To reproduce:
1. Create a new project in Sonar
2. Click on the Synth Rack
3. Click to Insert a new synth, select Mux
4. Try playing something
Result: there's no audio, and the green icon to indicate the audio engine is on is gray (indicating the engine is off). Clicking that button to reset the audio engine has no effect.

I downloaded and installed the 64-bit MUX 1.0.38 VSTi demo in Sonar X1 Producer Expanded Edition and it crashed Sonar. In my case my external soundcard ASIO's driver is not released and I have to restart in order to use Sonar or any of my other DAWS.
Basically, I used the preset menu to load MuDrum. There were no samples loaded. Clicking on various parts of the interface did nothing, which I think ultimately contributed to the crash. When I tried to delete the MUX VSTi that's when Sonar crashed.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with 8 GB of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
