Yea I understand :), its a bit of a hassle, I'm through with it for now. I'm ready to see what everyone came up with and to move on to the next synth. sooo lazy.

One More :D

Alvfaria - Samba de Roda [DEMO]

http://soundcloud.com/alvfaria/samba-de-roda

Just a test. I tried to recreate sounds of typical samba instruments with Retrologue.
The cuica was fairly the most difficult at all.

So... Hear and say what do you think.

(I'm not a samba expert, OK?) :hihi:

FL Studio
6x Retrologue
1 Voxengo Tube Amp (master channel)

DR: 13

Here it also didn't work on Wine. Then we tried installing on Rena's Win7 machine - no luck either. It installed ok, but Reaper doesn't recognize it. Third try on my new laptop box on win7 Professional, and this time it worked, but we both were underwhelmed by Retrologue. We gave it a fair try, but the synth didn't speak to us. So we decided to cut out for this month and back down to voting. :(

@V'ger/Irion:
Could we please have a more digital/FM/harsh sounding synth for a change?

Greetings

Remember that i love more digital synths than analog ones (they all sounds very alike).
I'm really tired of analog too, since we got the large roundup of: Minimogue, Mini V, DUNE BE and Retrologue.
But V'ger will tell you a good reason about why we used all these good synths, i'm sure.

We have a couple digital sound synths in the sleeve, specially one. I hope this will be the next one. I will try to convince our boss :hihi:

Have a good day, guys :)

I know what you mean. I also felt that way about some of my tracks in the past

Cool, I'm looking forward to that! It will be nice to play with some different synthesis techniques.

OSC rocks

to be fair, Dune is more than a VA, it has wavetable synthesis too. Maybe that is why it was so fun to work with.

Hopefully what ever comes next is Mac user friendly. It would be fun to use something really sonically limited like a piano emulator. :D

What would be pretty cool is a Waldorf pack "OSC"; not sure I could coax any sorts of decent sounds out of just the PPG...

I'm thinking PPG as well... and you can coax a LOT of sweet sounds out of it. Trust me :P

Smells like PPG spirits...
