I think only time will tell. Hope it's not 3rd party plugins -- if it is, it should not bill itslef as a host, but rather as something self-contained like Reason.

Yeah, I saw that. I also saw a rep say he thinks it might still work on Vista when they finish it, which seems to suggest Vista isn't certain for the future.

As to the crashes I think it's more the case that people having issues would be reporting them and others not having issues maybe not. It's kinda hard to judge this early. I think it will be more clear after a few more weeks.

One thing I know for sure from my end. No CPU spikes of any kind showed up here.

48 tracks, numerous instances of Dimension Pro and no issues...

That's a good plan. I am with ya on that cause I didn't jump on pre-sale and no plan to upgrade before the holiday is over. It was very tempting especially after watching webinar but loads of tasks at work helped me stay away. I briefly visited cakewalk forum last night and I agree the reports are mixed. It's too early I guess, once it's open to everyone we will see more feedback.

XP is not supported and I read somewhere they didn't test it extensively on XP. Couple of users have confirmed that it's running fine on their XP SP3 machine.

have most of the Major bugs been fixed in X1 already?

anyone know when the demo for X1 will be available? why no demo first?

I'd say most of them, yes, and most importantly, X1D is stable. ymmv

Hibidy, is that you, or someone masquerading as you?

I really wanted to wait but I have this big multi-tune project coming up that will stretch on for many months and I wanted to upgrade before then.

I'm gonna install now...I think.

Should I uninstall X1?
