BTW, what room size setting do you guys normally use in the Anechoic room simulator? I tried a few settings, with wildly varying results.

I really enjoyed next month's competition, and love the flexibility of this synth. It will be a go-to synth for me.
I used Podium for both my submissions. Lovely environment - very well laid-out.

I have used both Cubase and Energy XT previously, but Cubase is too expensive and Energy XT lacks support for multiple processors.

There is a free version available, you should give it a spin...

How dare you accuse me of cheating? :smack:
It's a purely original rhythm, no copycat here. :D
And now, something i wanted to share with all of you. A mad idea.

This thing is nuts, I love it! Can we do an OSC with it, or do the objects it is "sonifying" count as external samples? :)

Not to be discouraging, but you've got a loooong ways to go. Perhaps cheese is just not your genre.

I think you will do for the OnePingOnly what Skrillex did for Massive. Soon the forum will be flooded with HOW DO I GET THAT ONEPINGONLY ADAGIOCM SOUND!?!?!? posts.

I meant that it seems Casiotone. I never acuse people, not directly... :hihi:

Indeed :hihi:

But if you someday need to learn Portuguese, then you will know what is really complicated to write.
Which one? Hehe.

Have a good day :)

Correct me if i'm wrong.

As far as portugesse is something like spanish (same as italian)
To me sounds like:

"It is not so difficult to learn portugesse, thus."

"But you don't have to be from Portugal. I'm from Brazil."

I swear i didn't use Google translator or anything, hehe.

:D

Almost ! ;)

"Pelo seu nome você deve ser de Portugal. rsrs

Would be better translated as : "By your name, I would say that you're from Portugal. I'm from Brazil."

I think that Cruz is a common surname on Portugal.

Not enough wine in the world to get me to try that.
Favorite line: "It is between a soap... and cheese"
...hmmm, might be onto something there. Shower and eat breakfast at the same time!

Except it might feel like showering using cheese while eating soap :-o

new one

sevaztian - Week 38 of 2012

DAW: Cubase 5
Instances of Retrologue: 5

DR: 10

This time I decided to not use Maximizer on the main out. This gave me a nice DR of 10. Of course the volume is a little lower than if I had used it, but I think it's pretty good still :)

Turn upi the volume knob of your speakers and feel the magic of a good DR value. :)

Try 'unnecessarily' without spell checker.. ;)
alvfaria wrote:Let's talk serious. There are tons of free synths out there. Some very good new ones! Is not so hard to pick one.

Could be...

MauSynth
Zynewave Nucleum (Subtrative + FM, SM but very versatile)
Phutura (S.E. Sounds powerfull)
Twin Bass (Subtrative but very hard sound)
Tunefish
miniSoftmusik Addvector (Aditive)
miniSoftmusik FEM 2 (FM)
Novaflash Uniwave
Novaflash Quack (S.E. Physical Model String)
MSI Twisted Energy (SM)

No Mac versions? Sorry Mac guys.
Some good synths there and Tunefish and I think Phutura has been in synth votes before (without doing well), but the ones we use should ideally be for Mac too as long as there are some available and there are still a few. Should also be a balance between synth styles and since we've had too many VA's lately maybe time for a non-VA. Also the synth we choose should have as few issues as possible and unfortunately SynthMaker and also SynthEdit are not the best in this regard although even non-SE or SM can also be problematic. Next months synths are already chosen but won't be revealed until competition start so all have the same time to make an entry.
